Pete Peppers on Youtube has a some good reviews and maybe answered a couple of my questions.

Helen died from a fractured skull from falling, not the virus. The raccoon eyes are a symptom.

Why did many more die in the joining than from Carol's outburst? There was hint of a military conflict in the initial joining. But there's still a differential of 875 million deaths that needs to be explained.

My observation. Zosia might be wearing a wig to resemble Raban—the male love interest from her Wycaro novels. We see her with shorter hair when she's helping to dispose of bodies and piloting the plane. But as she's having a shower one of the changing room ladies is brushing a wig.

They are relying on the collective knowledge to know where people are. So people who know these astronauts would know where they are, as an example. But surely there a some people that no one on earth knows their whereabouts?
 
Anyone want to take a guess at what Carol found?

What a brilliant episode. Understated but plenty going on.

I can only assume Carol was so horrified is because she found that the white powder and subsequent amber liquid is made from human bodies. Thinking back to ep2 when Zosia got the body out of the car they put it in a milk truck.

I’m enjoying it but you have to be in the mood for it.

I’ve never got past halfway of season 2 of BCS because it just felt slow, and I was so bored of the Brother.

I’ve tried a few times and will probably try again.
 
After Carol discovered the amber liquid and the white powder she made a second video. But then she deleted it and started a new one. We didn't get to see what was in the revised version.

If dog food guy gets her videos he will take action.

Yeah feels like he has a big part to play as the rest of them don't seem to gaf.

That makes sense, because if it was a whole body she would recognise it straight away.

Some reviewers have said the amber liquid is all that the hivers consume. I reckon it might be more of a supplement. Maybe it's required to maintain their psychic abilities. We've seen them eat regular food at the lunch party, and in the latest ep Laxmi's son was eating ice cream. When asked if they are vegetarian, Zosia said "that would be our preference."

Another theory I saw was based on the low number of children in the world. Are they being harvested? But that would go against the hive creed that they can't kill anything. We've seen a few kids, like the freaky neighbours and the one at the hospital. Gilligan doesn't do anything by accident so there will be a good reason for it. Were children more susceptible to being killed by the virus?
 
My misses picked up on the Soylent Green vibe pretty quickly. I am leaning more towards the product the hive is consuming maintains the virus in their bodies and the link it provides.

I am predicting that Carol will kidnap a hive person and ween them off the "milk" to observe the results. I reckon the hive control and virus will die off as a result, leaving the true individual person behind.

It's an interesting theory. But maybe dog food guy would be the one to test it after he gets Carol's videos? The hive are steering clear of her.

Why is he testing radio frequencies? Is he trying to detect how the hive communicate with each other?

The bag of white 'powder'? She found a stockpile of bags at the milk processing plant, crows were getting stuck into the stuff.

She won't be able to kidnap any of them, they're all connected mentally, so whoever she kidnaps would just call for help and the others would come to the rescue. Same as what just happened when she drugged Zosia.
 
The plot moving along nicely. The events in Paraguay were 3 days before Carol left Las Vegas so Manousos might be in Albuquerque by the time she gets home. Though driving an old MG isn't a realistic way of making that journey. We learnt a little more about his searching on radio frequencies. Does the sound on 8.613 relate to the signal the astronomers found?
