Bit worried about how early we are running match Sim combined with our drop in running (no more 1k trials)

We did the same thing in 2023 after making finals and it blew up in our face, we looked unfit from game 1
Yep lets can the fitness guy a week into preseason based on 2023..

Those sand dunes at the 18 min mark are even more horrendous than I remember. Just a terrible juxtaposition to the elite infrastructure across the rest of the facility.

REID ALL ABOUT IT

More midfield minutes for AFL Rising Star winner Murphy Reid who is set to play a hybrid role between high forward and the guts next season.

The Reid, Caleb Serong, Hayden Young, Andrew Brayshaw combo will have Dockers’ fans salivating.

I'll be more than salivating... 😜😜😏

The real question for any training watchers is, where is Bailey Banfield playing? Forward, Back of Mid

The grubber kicks he was doing at training last season in the pre season under token pressure meant he should have been placed behind others for a call up to the team. But anyway, we have a player getting a game over others to help stunt their development when he's already peaked and it's not that high.

I'm very interested to know how Harding went in defence. If he is decent then I am really liking the idea of a backline kpd/ruck.

There seems to be a lot more 200cm forwards coming through and it makes sense to have a defender who can match them.

Same with Riddle. I see his pathway to game time being as a ruck/forward. Without that dual role he is either not good enough as an AFL ruck, or he will be poached.

Riddle definitely shows promise as a forward. He is quite athletic and despite what someone else said I have seen him leap up high in the ruck contests. Up forward at Peel whilst he had periods where he went missing he took some very nice pack marks. It was quite often after a period of me thinking “has Riddle been even on the field” and on queue he pops up and take a really nice pack mark.

I don’t know much about Harding but what I’ve seen is he an athletic ruck but not as quick a mover as some of the better key backs. His combine speed from memory was something like 2.99 but from the eye he doesn’t have the initial burst of speed.

Worth trialing his versatility and from all reports did quite well as a key back.

Any training watchers have some comments on his performance?

Your not commenting, your implying a fact. It's just massive conjecture and fear-mongering..
I don't think they are implying a fact so much as stating a concern. Doesn't mean it will be borne out.

For what it is worth I get the comparison but from what track watchers are saying they are doing a lot of repeat sprint running instead of long endurance running. This will build their fitness base plenty and I think match sim is really important if JL's comments around game plan are true.

You are the one who is dramatizing everything

I'm making comments based on the available info

It's a valid comment and I stand by it, I don't agree with whatever dramatic nonsense you are trying to push

Hopefully will be playing at left-right-out

JT is quite the interesting character.

Seems so relaxed and unflappable, but is first in, packing his bags the day prior.

Think is a bit of a still waters run deep type of guy. Seems really clear minded and purposeful, nothing like I was at that sort of age.

Voss academy looks great, no wonder Voss and Treacy’s marking improved last year if that is what they get up to.

Good to see Onions there too, if he starts clunking them like JT watch out.
Wonder why it’s called “The Voss Academy “ as JL said in a press conference that it was started by JT
