Actually I don't really anymore. Now I'm a grey (bald) nomad it's too expensive to just do drop ins. $25 a pop. I'm just sticking to normal gyms. I may visit the occasional CrossFit gym but not regularly.

is there no franchise where you can pop in for cheaper as you travel?
or do these country town folks dont go for that CrossFit stuff

I've done the Indian Pacific Syd to Perth. I've also done the Trans-Siberian Moscow to Vladivostok. The IP is nice with some great scenery but not nearly as breathtaking as the TS. Also on the IP people mostly keep to themselves whereas train travel in Russia is a communal thing. Strangers sit around drinking, talking and playing cards with complete strangers. I felt bored a few times in 4 days on the IP. I wasn't bored once in 7 days on the TS.

My dad worked on the railways. He was one of the head honchos for NSW Rail and got free passes for the family. Growing up we went on lots of train trips. , The Southern Aurora (Syd to Melb), The Brisbane Limited (Syd to Bris), The Sunlander (Bris to Cairns) and the Indian Pacific. And my favourite, mostly for the name and colour of the train, The Spirit of Progress (Melb to Syd).

Im not against train holiday but id get bored i reckon I like doing things on holidays .

Most of them were only overnight trips. The Indian Pacific was 4 days, 3 nights and The Sunlander 3 days, 2 nights.
