Just a quick query. No doubt these tests are similar to what is done at an AFL club, but does it really have an impact on where a potential AFL draftee is chosen. While obviously it is a good indication of who may be ready to step up and is at an AFL or thereabouts standard does anyone have results from previous years to see if the best guys in the shuttle run, beep test and sprints are also picked up in the top 10?

Conversley are their people in the draft camp who put in exceptional performances and were in the top three of testing, yet never made it at AFL level?

Port rookie comes to mind, broke the endurance but got de-listed a year later
Its not the end all to you being a player, but its a damn good indication however when endurance/speed/agility is more importaint then ever in the game
also a chance for coaches to view players themselfs, informal chat, ect.

Crap beep test results...I can get 15.8

Its a decent score but i wouldn't call it an elite level. I have a PB of over 16 so its not that super. Bearing in mind i do a fair few triathlons and am in training for an ironman.
