US military budget passes senate:

Total of $901 billion.

In a blow to vatniks promoting Russian propaganda Ukraine receives just $800 million in "security assistance" in the US military budget. Over two years.

That's 0.08% of the US military budget.

Or 0.02% of US GDP.

Basically a rounding error on the books.

Imagine any poster in this forum trying to argue that Ukraine is only surviving because of the US.

The facts and reality are clearly the opposite.

It is actually a whole host of nations that are supporting Ukraine each doing their little bit. Australia, Poland, Baltics, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, UK all are doing their bit and as a percentage of GDP are much bigger contributors than the US whos contribution in the last 2 years has paled into insignificance.

Oops. India refusing to accept delivery of Russian oil on shadow tankers due to threat of sanctions:

No wonder the price of Urals oil is plummeting.

Something like 182,000,000 barrels of Russian oil reportedly in floating storage right now. At the current discounted price of $40USD that's over $7 billion of income unable to be accessed by Putin & co.

I guess the likely result for these tankers is they wait around for China to accept them who take it off Russia's hands at $20 / bl.

Is North Korea an option? Do they have refining capability?

So much winning by Putin.

A US war on Venezuela will help that oil price increase.
Thanks to Vlad's pal Donnie.

Denmark provides $294 million in aid package to Ukraine:

Denmark's GDP is $407 billion and gave $294,000,000 in assistance to Ukraine.

US GDP is $30 trillion - and gave $800,000,000 in military assistance to Ukraine.

Looks like Denmark is actually fighting the war and Ukraine is but a proxy of Denmark.

Venezuela isn't a big player in the international oil markets. Won't make much of a difference.

If Trump really wanted cheap oil he could simply do a deal with Iran to bring them back on to open world markets plus unlock vast Alaskan oil reserves under environmental laws where there's enough oil to last US a very long time waiting to be extracted.

Bad news Baronnessky and Ilovethepiesky. Happy days.
From BBC article
Concerns about future US support spills over into talk of future US security guarantees – a key issue of the current peace talks. Ms Terekh dismisses the ongoing negotiations as "capitulation talks", and says that Ukraine making its own weapons "is the only way to really provide security guarantees".

Ukraine should aim to be a major arms exporter like South Korea.
History has shown that they may not be able to rely on their "friends".

Why won't Putin save Russian lives by stopping his war?

#Russianlivesmatter - stop young Russians dying needlessly at war, end the war. War is bad.

Am I doing it right barreness ?

The heading should be the 76th Airborne has been wiped out AGAIN!

The 76th Airbone has had so many casualties, it has had to be reconstituted numerous times that the current iteration is just a poor mans version of any former "elite" and once feared force.

This parody is as relevant now and it was back a few years back.

$800 million is a disgrace. If the US was actually serious about not having to fight China that'd be $80 billion. Even if Russia comes out of Ukraine with a 'draw', European countries won't be able to contribute much to a fight with China, as they'd worry about Russia taking advantage of it.

Ensure Russia's military is destroyed to the point they are no threat for 10 years and China faces the threat of French, British and Italian Aircraft carriers off their coast, along with European countries funnelling aid to Taiwan. Unlike Trump most of them realise, that if they didn't a victorious China would help rebuild Russia, making them a threat again.

Lol. They just tried to press an AN-22 back into service because of a shortage of aircraft.

Here are the results:

Russia does not have a local aviation industry any longer.

They've attempted to make a few aircraft here and there but even they are rubbish and also rely on western components that are unable to be purchased.

Basically Russian commercial aviation is reliant on western aircraft. This is the reason why Putin signed a decree effectively stealing aircraft owned by lessors when the invasion commenced. He did this in anticipation of sanctions, using stolen aircraft as a source of spare parts to keep critical aviation flying.

Putin absolutely needs a surrender from Ukraine before this reaches crisis point.

When I saw that photo I thought it had to be doctored as no plane disintegrates like that.

But I was wrong, it is real and must have been one hell of a structural failure for it to come apart like that.

Here's footage of its graceful dive. The Romanian judge gave it a 9.5.

From NOEL Reports:

The Russian shadow fleet tanker hit in Rostov is now sinking near the Novoshakhtinsk oil terminal, ASTRA reports. The strike killed two crew members and injured three. Eyewitnesses say the stern is submerged up to the superstructure. The area has been sealed off and containment booms deployed.

China is waiting for Russia to be on a verge of a civil war before giving it a nudge to get the ball rolling. Once this occurs, they will make their move.
Yes and they will help themselves to all that oil and gas in russia.
IF and it's a big IF putin had a brain should cut a deal deal with Ukraine now and withdraw all his and north korean forces from Ukraine terrortories why he still has some gas and oil reserves, but seeing he's only slightly above donny rump in the intelligence stakes he probably won't

Putin will end up becoming the governor of Russia - an autonomous region of Northern China.

Despite soaring interest rates and high costs due to sanctions wages are actually declining in the mining industry

I wonder how long these people are willing to suffer to fund Pedo Putin's dreams of expanding his new Russian empire.

Pretty much all signs are pointing towards Russia needing a result desperately from Ukraine in the near future.

In the short term Putin will take it as a win, more people desperate for money will sign up to be killed. In the long term of course yet more economic (and demographic) damage, but Putin's thinking hasn't changed since things started going wrong within the first few days. He still takes it as long as he can outlast the West, it doesn't matter how much of a crater the economy and country is, it'll have been worth the cost.

Europe's chance to show he's wrong today, however I'm betting on them squibbing using Russian frozen assets. Only reinforcing to Putin that Europe talks, but when it comes time to walk the walk, they'll instead talk some more. If Europe does show some balls, standing up to Russia (and Trump) to use those assets, then 2026 will be the year Russia loses. Not some grand retreat back across their borders (unless Putin dies), but even their very slow advances will stop, all whilst their economy goes from teetering to completely wrecked.

"Satellite images show the entrance to the naval anchorage sealed with barges and boom barriers, measures intended to prevent Ukrainian surface and underwater drones from entering the harbor. While such defenses may reduce vulnerability to further attacks, they also effectively trap Russian vessels inside the base, complicating any rapid sortie into the Black Sea."

Instead of Ukraine needing to expend material to blockade the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Russia has decided to blockade themselves. Brilliant move Putin, you remain a master strategist.
