I wonder if selectors may opt for Webster as the spin option for Melbourne. If so, that may place Green's spot in jeopardy.

Hes averaging similar numbers to a certain A.Flintoff at comparable stages of their careers. I know hes been abysmal this series but we need to look further than the past month when looking to the futureSuspect you've hit the nail on the head with these changes.
Agree with you on Green - looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane - selectors love him though, so will be in the team.

Usman Lyon Cummins outCummins, Inglis, Lyon out.
Smith, Neser and Murphy in.
Would love to flip Green to Webster as well but doubt we make 4 changes.
in all honesty Webbie spin is worse than heads ..he is a medium quickI wonder if selectors may opt for Webster as the spin option for Melbourne. If so, that may place Green's spot in jeopardy.
For Test cricket my philosophy is different, and simpler. Always pick the best fit and available eleven to win the next match.Gotta look to the future for Boxing Day.
If the quicks are getting rested then pick some uncapped players. Guys like Doggett and Neser shouldn’t be coming in.
Smith in for Inglis and Connolly/Kellaway in for Weatherald or Khawaja (give him a send off in Sydney I guess). Can probably hang on to Green as well because Webster will just be plugging a hole.
But why are you willing to sacrifice the idea of winning more tests against England now for some unmeasurable, indeterminate benefit of picking a young player, when that young player might not even be good enough to even play another Test for Australia beyond this series? There's no guarantee that either Webster or Inglis are such a good cricketers that they will ever play another Test Match beyond this series, yet you're carrying on like they're some of the greatest talents to ever walk the earth that are pre-ordained to win 10 future Ashes series for Australia if they could just somehow get themselves permanently in the team.I’m not saying to send a full XI of 18 year olds out there but there should already be a young bloke in there at 6 or 7 if guys like Webster and Inglis are options, and now is the perfect opportunity to do something like that.
You know, I think you are correct! Couple of years ago now! I’m thinking Tillekeratne was a keeper, who exclusively became a batsman and Kaluwitharana was a keeper who became recognised for his batting?Like a proto-Gilly.Wasn’t it Kaluwitharana and Jayasuria? Still remember thinking WTF is going on here when they were going at 7 and 8 an over opposed to the usual 50 over crawling starts

ODI could be pretty slow going before this period. You’d have Tony Greig, when he wasn’t being weird, talking up Australia’s chances, having just put on 200 at the G.
No it doesn't, it shows that on a genuine road, on which a result is not possible, it is possible to score more.It shows that it’s possible to score more than a previous win total.

Happy to win the ashes,
Green omg what do they do?
Lyon injured tragic..
But what will England do now ?
Celebrate we got to 5 day's perhaps !!
Ah yes, good old "Give us a hand lick her acne"I think Tille came in at first drop though in that set up
Pretty sure Piers requested Lee to bowl full speed at him as he didn't want people thinking Brett was being soft on him.To be fair, as much as I loathe Piers Morgan (and I also find it interesting everyone's doing exactly what he wants by engagement rage baiting), he has a point here. Lee was bowling massive no balls and bowling short stuff following his body as he was backing away. All Lee had to do was bowl some medium paced yorkers, clean bowled Piers, and everyone could have moved on. Dick move by Lee.
Affilika Chunda and Amight Needapootoo were a highly underrated middle order combinationAh yes, good old "Give us a hand lick her acne"
Big difference to "full speed but full and targeting the stumps" and "I'm going to bowl halfway down the pitch at his body and bowl no-balls by over a metre".Pretty sure Piers requested Lee to bowl full speed at him as he didn't want people thinking Brett was being soft on him.
England have played their best side, with maybe the exception of Mark Wood
It's not like they've got tons of quality ready to be brought in
