Safe to assume Trav would captain the team if Smith doesn't play?

Big difference to "full speed but full and targeting the stumps" and "I'm going to bowl halfway down the pitch at his body and bowl no-balls by over a metre".
If the point was to make Piers Morgan look foolish you don't think sending stumps cartwheeling three or four times would have achieved that just as much as a broken rib?
3-0 up. The Ashes are where they belong. Every one of them contributed to it to some degree. Good callI reckon I'll discuss the changes tomorrow. Let’s have tonight be a celebration.
What was he supposed to do? Bowl some gentle offies to him?The point wasn’t really to get him out. He was calling the English players cowards for not being able to deal with Johnson’s pace and short balls, so he was going to cop pace and short balls
It was something that never should have been agreed to and it was soft from Brett Lee to be bowling massive no balls and bouncing him more than necessary
Not sure why we still talk about it over a decade on. Brett Lee came out looking like a w***er which he probably is, Piers came out looking like a w***er which he definitely is

If Webster was self-evidently such a good player, why hasn't he scored more than 11, 6, 14, 8 and 44 in his two shield games and one Australia A game this summer? How is he certainly better? If we don’t say thanks Cam and Josh you gave it a good old collage try but Webster is better than you both, then I will be stunned.
Only injury can save them surely?

And the fact that Piers Morgan would have probably still backed away (being scared of a ball even before it leaves Lee's hands) leaving his stumps exposed even if it was a full ball would have been enough to prove the lack of cowardice that he was claiming on the part of the English test cricketers, who weren't backing away to Johnson. The point wasn’t really to get him out. Fair enough mate. You have your thoughts on it and I have mine. Let’s leave it at thatNot agree to bowl bouncers at a 50 year old man who is backing into the side netting
It was over a decade ago, I’m not reading or posting any more about it. Can people move on from the stupid skit
Constrained you from heading to the beach in Noosa? He said at times England were "so determined" and had "such high expectations" for the series that it "almost constrained us".
This is the last I’ll say on the matter but get into the psyche of a Thommo, Tait or Lee and see if they have an “off switch” when any campaigner challenges them to a nets session. I honestly don't see the point of Lee in using his speed to injure someone (in the quite literal sense, breaking his ribs). Like, what was the point? I loathe Piers Morgan too, even his politics, but I don't believe he deserves physical pain for having such views. And it's in cricket, not politics, something that doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.
If in by some miracle that Morgan had not backed away five balls into his over, bounce him on ball six.
Yes, at least we can agree that it was stupid by everyone involved.
Dunno how we can drop Khawaja after what was exactly a match winning knock - 82 runsHead

Pure damage control spin nowLOL and now Baz is saying they should've trained less because of how hot it was. The comedy never ends.

I'll celebrate 5-0. Retaining the ashes was a given.I reckon I'll discuss the changes tomorrow. Lets have tonight be a celebration.
So the only thing that cost England the Ashes is “tails never fails”? Huge from StokesyStokes was asked what he'd change in hindsight, he said the coin tosses. He'd lose the first two and win the Adelaide toss. He also said not to call him/them arrogant after the Brisbane test didn't he?

I faced Thommo and Hogg at separate times as a teenager. Both insanely scary neither of them gave a shit that I was a kid, a leg spinner and treated the bat as a device used to wave at the ball. This is the last I’ll say on the matter but get into the psyche of a Thommo, Tait or Lee and see if they have an “off switch” when any campaigner challenges them to a nets session.
