Well that’s your view. I beg to differ. That would not make Brook a "total fraud".
Martyn wasn't a flat track bullyHarry Brook has all the talent in the world. Could be the next Root or Smith.
Bazball is consigning him to be the next Damien Martyn.
Where did I say anything about timing the ball? Seriously dumb comment.Honestly do not understand this post
are you talking about how well they time the ball
did marto do bazball![]()

High standards if top 30 of all time in your country = a total fraud!Well that’s your view. I beg to differ.
Total fraud given his talent. Exactly what Brook is becoming.
Who captains if Smith doesn't play?
Test average against England was worst than just about every other country.Martyn wasn't a flat track bully
just because its his home deck doesn't mean he is the best spinner Rocco over MurphyGreat result, and the perfect day for it to happen as I am currently deep behind enemy lines in old blighty, well, in shoreditch.
Team selection for both teams is interesting.
Putting on my dual coach hat on, here’s what I’d do;
For England, bring in Bashir, Atkinson. Drop Tongue and Pope. Shuffle the order by moving Brook up. Jacks has batted well enough to keep his spot as a specialist bat only. They’ll need a spinner in Melbourne, and the seaming wicket should suit Atkinson.
For Australia, Lyon, Cummins, Inglis out. Smith, Murphy, Neser back in. If Webster comes in, and he probably should it’s for Green and Green only. Murphy has done well with the ball this season and it’s his home deck, Neser deserves his spot and Smith is Smith. Ussies stays where he is in the batting line up.
I'd have Martyn over Brook in my XI any day.Martyn wasn't a flat track bully
With Brook’s talent he should be a top 10 all timer for England. BazballHigh standards if top 30 of all time in your country = a total fraud!
What's an acceptable career? Top 10?
Test average against England was worst than just about every other country.
Where would you rate him in a list of Australia’s best batsmen? He averaged near 46-47 with 13 tons. Thats a pretty good career

You're the one who compared career runs, champ. I just did the same.Quite possibly the dumbest comparison here today - and that’s saying something.
England had very decent quicks at that time and plenty of that “poor” form against England was in his initial period. His back end was as good as Smith is.
Averaged basically the same home and away, too.Top 15 easily. Could make an argument for top 20, but he’s ended with an average of 47 with 13 tons it’s an outstanding career. He was a better bat than Warner

He averaged 40 in England and scored two centuries in a single series.Test average against England was worst than just about every other country.
Sri Lanka 2003-2004, perhaps? Scored consecutive second innings hundreds. There was a series think it was SL away but you can correct me here where he dead set took the Mickey out of their spinners and he was literally the difference between the sides fairly sure it was SL
