I grew up in Perth but never really too connected with that area. Didn't really like the vibe of alot of the western suburb folk in Perth. Eventually moved into the area in my mid 20s. My understanding of why Lachie Neale on why he left Freo initially was the limelight of being an AFL footballer in a hot bed like WA. Being a country lad from SA, the media attention was close. Being in a less-focused AFL state like QLD, less attention and spotlight would be on him- which is something that I think he valued, mind the irony- his own personal space.

What you will find is, its more of a postcode thing. When you mention certain postcodes in Perth- people can automatically say 'business' people or want to do business with them. Food for instance I'd often found better bang for your buck in middle-to-lower class suburbs of Perth than shopping at say Claremont Quarter.

Perth is like a social bubble- the private school kids in that western suburb triangle had their own warped world. Alot of them haven't escaped WA up until the age of 18 years of age.

I thought he left Freo for Brisbane was because Freo looked to be on the downer and he didn't get along with Fyfe. as well as Brisbane looked like they had some upside to them. Could be wrong.

If Neale was just some battler in the WAFL I doubt Jules would have given him a second look. Reality is many women will look beyond a lot of faults (looks, behaviour, brains) to get with high profile and high earning men. It would not surprise me if she had looked past his extra curricular activities going back quite a while. Look at some of the threads on the Scandals forum and you will read stories of so-called good guys rooting around while attached.

And here is a generalisation about beauticians (and please, let me know if you have had a different experience), I have never met one who was particularly bright. Certainly met a few nutcases though.

It is pretty common when a man cheats on the wife for him to be called a scumbag, selfish and all the rest. A woman does it and the reaction is "Well she just wasn't having her needs met. The husband should have done better."

On that note, it could be that Neale is a scumbag. It could also be that he dug himself into a whole with a crazy wife who was driving him up a wall.

I don't have that much sympathy for her having moved interstate. Doesn't deserve to be cheated on, but I will take some convincing she saw anything in him other than money and profile in the first place.

Very unfortunate for the kids. I really hate it when homes break down like this.

Please. Garry and Nicki were both separated from their partners when they got together, there is nothing morally or legally wrong with what they did.

(and as an aside, Pig Brownless crying on television about it? Acting like he owned his ex-wife? Pathetic. Should tell you everything about why she left).

I don't judge anyone for what they do or don't do, but you have to query the timing of it - two small kids, that's a time when a family needs to be the most united.

I bumped into a fair few Rossmoyne kids through my uni days. Im gathering she must have been fairly academically smarts to get into a selective school (I believe like Rossmoyne)?

If so, fair play to Lachie - he chased beauty and brains.

There is a lot of dynamics that I haven't discussed... and I have been brash.

I assume, initially, with the 'fun' or 'cheating', he doesn't see himself involving himself in the other woman's life to any great extent... It will catch up with him.

Lachie first mistake was to marry a chick from Perf

His second mistake was to marry a hair dresser with a salon in cottesloe of all places

Hes going to get absolutely rolled

Having said that he upgraded with the other chick if we are going by looks. No amount of botox can save Jules now. Shes at Brent Harvey levels of done.

Rossmoyne is a public school, but it's one of the best (if not the best) public schools in WA. May not be golden triangle but the catchment zone is very affluent in it's own right.

Without knowing anything about their financial earnings, I would suggest that as an A grade AFL player, Brownlow medalist and premiership player that Lachie Neale's earnings would far outweigh Jules' business earnings.
Regardless, his indiscretion/s are going to cost him a significant amount of money and his reputation has been permanently tarnished. He will likely be targeted by opposition supporters next year until he retires.
No doubt he regrets his actions now but it is too late given how his wife has reacted.

Tell me about it.

Like I said I studied with a fair amount of students (at uni) that went through their system- they let me know about it. My experience were the kids from there were 'super competitive' in terms of academics- not sure if thats a bad or good thing.

Always checked the high school state rankings and they were always in the top echelon of schools. Dont have anything against them.

Ive drove past the Willeton-Rossmoyne-Applecross catchment area many times. The areas and the 3 main schools in that are consistently on the higher rank.
