Quick update, amigos

Matthew Jelley has kindly offered to help out and will be given commish access shortly. Big thanks as well to everyone else who put their hand up to assist during the draft — it really speaks to the quality of this league, and I genuinely appreciate it.

On another note, I reached out to NoPositiveTests! around six weeks ago and haven’t had a response. Given their last BigFooty login was March 16, we may need to start thinking about a potential coaching change.

My initial thought is to set January 12 as a cutoff date, but I’m very open to suggestions. They were actively making team changes throughout the season, so I’m hesitant to move too quickly — at the same time, I’d like to give any incoming coach enough runway to make adjustments and help maintain strong engagement across the league.

If there’s no response by our agreed date, we’ll proceed with the change.

Bugsy Mogues — as you’re first on the waitlist, would you be interested in stepping into the coach’s chair if it becomes available?

We've played fantasy bball together for a few seasons now and can confirm he's very active and willing.

No Positives Tests didn’t post much last year either but fronted up for drafts ect. I wouldn’t be to quick at Xmas to kick them out but it’s good to consider a plan b.

Not sure how engaged they can be with trades if they don’t log in but don’t think we’ve had any issues so far.

Jan 12th seems to be a reasonable time frame, I'm in no rush to reassign the team but also don't want to leave a potential replacement scrambling.

I think the main thing with most of these keeper/dynasty leagues is that you want reassurance people are invested in playing.

It's one thing to log in and set a lineup and do waivers as a bare minimum to be active. The expectation though should really be about contribution to the league by remaining active, posting on BF semi-regularly and showing an active interest in being a coach in the league, not a ghost to each other.

If none of us posted anything at all, it would be a pretty dull affair.

And yes, I get we all have lives outside of this. And this time of year the interest may dwindle for some sort activity may be stretched.

But overall, I'd like to think we all have a pretty good gauge of what makes a fun league to be involved in.
