He probably felt safe from detection because of the "mutually assured destruction" element.

She realised her own bloke was a bit of a dick and then deliberately got caught on the hope she might end up with Lachie full time.

Completely agree, is a system where you have to "prosecute" a change in circumstance and that's time consuming and expensive. Fair chance she applies for litigation funding from him so he would be paying for both sides.

Inertia and preservation of a "status quo" is a by product of an overwhelmed, expensive and slow legal system.

Her moving to WA is the current circumstance and I'd be shocked if he could get that changed through the courts.

Not unheard of for acrimonious, highly contested cases to cost $5-700k or even more.

150 for me, not to mention settlement.

Reckon she blew 100+ also.

We ended up with 50-50. Same with what we started with, just got acrimonious in the middle. Nearly a quarter million wasted.

Trying to fight systems that (from my lived experience) support only women is very expensive. Dot your Ts and cross your Is.

And the court doesn't give a damn about infidelity.

I see the internet says they did some revisions post George Floyd, which hopefully addressed the issue, but I saw it back in 2015 and we all left shaking our heads. It shits on Uganda and Ugandan people far more than it does Mormons. Not to be one of those… holier than thou types… but it was such blatant, overblown racism it was hard to understand how it had never been brought up in all the glowing reviews

They call themselves Latter Day Saints. The last word being a bit of misnomer in this case and in the case of Tyler Robinson. They have had and in some cases still do have, some pretty cultish beliefs. Jesus visiting America would be the biggest, closely followed by what Brigham Young said about people living on the moon.
