Yes - he's nearly old enough to become an Australian test regular.... I like Richardson shame about the injuries, I think he could be the next bowler when Starc/Boland retire but he is 29 already.

Lyon is 38 and Usman 39I was wrong. I thought Starc was about 38 lol
Green deserves to be droppedThis will be fun! Excited to watch Jhye and Murphy play.
All three of Smith, Starc and Boland to play is massive.
Assume the XI is;
1. Weatherald
2. Head
3. Labuschagne
4. Smith (c)
5. Khawaja
6. Carey
7. Green
8. Starc
9. Richardson
10. Boland
11. Murphy
Probably our strongest batting lineup thus far. I like Uzzie at 5.
Murphy is in the squad
Cummins rested

Plus further English embarrassment. Never a dead rubber in the AshesWTC points at stake I guess?
Even out of form like this I think we're a better balanced side with Green in it.
Bowling workload and a settled order. With 2 forced changes we’re but going to make too many more to a side up 3-0Explain how a guy not making runs and rarely taking wickets brings 'balance'.
Because he's clearly next in line in the non-vic centric views of selectors hence his selection in tour games against the England Lions so far this summer.Rock hasn't been given a go yet. He's form in domestic cricket has been excellent. Lots of Victorian based cricket media called for Murphy.
And our best ever finger spinner only Lyon was taking shield wickets at 34 so far this summer. Shield form over 4-5 rounds can also be dependant on match location and conditions.Art- Rocc won games this season for WA from when it was petering to a draw.
Murphy hasnt ripped innings apart this season
Best is 3/102.
As for Richo- i agree its purely as he bowls 140+ and has shown to be next in line of the those that bowl 140+
why not open with Khawaja?Head
Weatherald
Marnus
Smith
Ussie
Carey
Webster
Starc
Murphy
Jhye or Neser
Boland
Nah dont buy that bullshit...its a snub for Rocco whatever way you look at itBecause he's clearly next in line in the non-vic centric views of selectors hence his selection in tour games against the England Lions so far this summer.

People are claiming Webster is out of form and he's only played two games, one being in a match where the highest innings total was barely above 200.
Kuhnemann, Swepson and Murphy have featured on recent sub-continent tours and nothing suggests that pecking order has massively changed. If CR was in the mix he'd have played tour matches earlier in the summer.

Not long ago you had Hardie and Connolly as the next big things. Here’s the thing, it’s the Australian team, not West AustralianGood luck Murphy don’t agree with the selection home ground a factor honestly believe Rocco is the better option
Murphy bats ahead of BolandThis will be fun! Excited to watch Jhye and Murphy play.

lol....Hardie ...you been reading my posts ...he has fallen downhill badly white ball stuffed him up needs some years in the shield.....and Connolly isn't ready yet for test cricketNot long ago you had Hardie and Connolly as the next big things. His eye is gone, better suited down the order when the ball is olderwhy not open with Khawaja?
By a long way Westend. Rocky ignored again, why dont Bailey and Co rate him, bloody baffling given his three yr form and it being a dead rubber. I once rated Murph as Lyonos successor but he has gone backwards. Got a lucky break when picked in Septembers A series against India. Still Murph go out and kill it come Boxing Day.Good luck Murphy don’t agree with the selection home ground a factor honestly believe Rocco is the better option
+ a 2 headed coin was used at the toss.....A sweep on england fans excuses when we go 4-0 up:
a) DRS was adjusted to make a nick appear.
b) Carey cheated by moving up to the stumps without informing the batter
c) They doctored the pitch to suit Starc/Murphy
d) they made the weather overcast when we batted and sunny when Australia batted
e) If Wood wasn't injured we'd be the ones 4-0 up instead of Australia
f) They were secretly watering our run-ups
g) Smith champed/sledged Archer and now Archer's heart isn't in it.
h) we over/underprepared
i) they spiked our drinks and that spike appeared in our drs
