Id play Neser in front of him, much better with the bat and very handy with the ball.

There were plenty of calls about a year ago to replace Carey with Inglis.

Fortunately common sense prevailed.

I think it's longer ago than that - more around 2022 or 2023. But your point is correct as some were saying it, and I'm glad they've been proven wrong.

I don't think he has made a claim for selection and his selection as it stands is an utter insult to everyone else playing state cricket. His record is sub par. The only reason he was regarded as Carey's replacement was because he was a BBL flat track bulky and like usual people mistake BBL stars as test cricket selection worthy.
