Only watched Episode 1 so far, but that was terrific. Brought back so many great memories from February 2024. But I'm biased.

However, it seems the reviewers are also mostly sharing the same sentiment as us. Of course a documentary is selectively edited and may not be as raw or critical as some may want, but it gives us an extended peek into the magic behind the Eras tour which - love her or loathe her - broke all the records.

Remember this moment

Just encapsulated what TS and Swifties are about.

Whether you're a newcomer, or old school like me, we are all team swift together.

I think shining lights on different cast members really provided a different angle to team swift. Family, togetherness. Allowed stories to be told and we are richer for it. Now we know more about Amanda Balen, Jeslyn Gorman, Whyley Yoshimura, et al. Say their names!

The final episode had me in a glass case of emotion. Finishing with Long Live on piano accompanied by her cast gazing wonderfully at her just....taylor is just not human. she's a goddess.

I posted this a couple of days after I went to Melbourne and the documentary reflects what I typed:

Someone posted this elsewhere but a self-professed non-Swiftie (40 yr old male) said they were a convert after the MCG concert because it was seeing more than 100k people just being joyous and happy and sharing a collective positive vibe. Fans lined up patiently, shared friendship bracelets with strangers, went all out with the costumes and just generally lapped it up. In a sports match, some fans have to lose, but no one loses here and every demographic was catered for with Taylor's evolution from album to album. I think it was the most spot on call I have read as to why this is a defining tour for her and the legion of devoted fans.

Is there any other musician in the world currently active that can bring people together like this? Of course a documentary is edited and carefully selected parts are shown, but the dancers, backup singers, band members etc all seem to genuinely admire and adore her, and it shows in the concert. For those nearly two years or so, we had a tour of positivity and happiness that united everyone through the power of song, and you'd have to be pretty f***ing sad to denigrate Taylor Swift for it.
