Yes thats the point, and youve pretty much confirmed it.

Cummins brought himself in knowing he had one test in him, won the game and said "job is done, 3-nil then brings back the B/C grade bowling attack for the remainder of the series.

I dont think this side has the killer instinct of the previous generations, but its hard to tell because it hasnt got the talent either.

A rubbish English side are about to walk in their first Test win in this country in 15 years
You reckon if he was fit enough he wouldn’t be playing?

None of those Australian A batsmen are in consideration.

Interesting that Carey & 3 of the bowlers are playing today.
My point was that the Australian side was almost exactly the same, other than Carey and some injury replacements from the A side. We haven't had players push up like we need.

That is the bit that's disappointing. This performance has gifted them a win, when this side has worked had I er multiple series to prevent that.

This is as worrying for us as Perth was for the Poms. We don't have the batting and our bowling is injured.

He wasnt really fit enough to play in Adelaide, hardly bowled in the 2nd innings.

We brought Richardson in whos hardly looked like taking a wicket, hasnt played a Test in 4 years. We've shifted the batting order around to accommodate an out of form Green and Khawaja too.

As I said, we dont have the talent of sides past, but we are also a "nice" side.

Test cricket in general is in a big hole, its the one thing the Sith Lord and I actually agree on.

There have been openings, but no batsman is really putting up their hand to come into the side.

Things could have been even uglier for Australia in this innings. Just saw the wickets package on Kayo, and the replay of Carse's dismissal looked a LOT like a front foot no-ball. Probably should have been recalled to the wicket, if the 3rd umpire was doing his job properly.

Makes up for yesterday then

Surely Matt Page needs to take a hard look at himself leaving on an extra 3mm of grass.

Don't expecf a bonus after costing CA millions.

Doesn't look particularly tough to bat on now, but the damage has been done.

Richardson bowling like a guy who spends most of his time injured.

Badly out of rhythm, 2 no balls in an over.

Edit - reverse mozz.
TV ump said that the wicket ball was a fair delivery. I'd still like to see it for myself, given what they have & haven't called so far this Test.

Richardson has bowled 4x No-Balls in less than 4 overs this innings, plus the one they missed with the Carse dismissal. Has he actually bowled ANY legal deliveries this innings?
Plenty!

Australia have scored their lowest combined total in a long time.

553 runs so far @ 16 inside 2 days, with no one capable of scoring a half century!

The last time we scored a combined total this low a bunch of people got the a**
So the current selectors will make no change lol.

I said at the beginning of this series I would have played Renshaw. Worth playing him in the 5th & reverting Head to #5.

Also, need changes to the bowling line-up.

I know many of you are passionate cricket followers but as a neutral observer, this has been a very crappy Ashes series.

Two tests over in two days, a third barely went into the fourth day and only Adelaide went the full 5 days.

And has cost the ACB massive $$$$$.
Probably cost CA $10M so far.

Probably more. Perth apparently cost them $4M. You'd have to think they just lost more than $6M, given that tomorrow was already a sellout, presumably with a guaranteed gate of 90,000+ (which will now be 90,000+ refunds).
