It's crazy how Foden and Bruno have turned their form around.

Foden a 7.7 average after 12 rounds and now averaging 24 from the past 4.
Bruno averaging 23 from the past 4.

Anyone think Palmer is okay to trade in? High upside, but huge injury risk. I think Grealish to Palmer makes sense. If Palmer gets injured again, I'll use him to loop.
I am going Palmer

Upside at the price too much to pass up on,

Pretty much sideways trade for me with Miley who I got for like 3.5 mill 3 weeks ago

I'm wondering about Palmer too. I have enough in the bank to go Rodri to Palmer. Suspect he'll be rotated a lot over the next few months.

Over the next month, yes. I expect by late Jan-early Feb he will be playing good minutes. The thing is, Palmer can be pretty effective even in limited minutes. I dont see him playing 90 for a while but i still think he will mostly start. If he gets 65-70+ minutes on average id back him in to be well worth his price. I do think that over the next 5 weeks, he may be benched to start once or twice but even then there is the possibility that he comes on and returns.

So, its far from a sure fire thing but if you don't have him, id just get him to be honest. At his current price, even if he fails, its not the end of the world and if he takes a month to get going thats fine i reckon as in the long run i think you want him.

Big shout out to Milenkovic who I would have spent more than an hour in total time trying to work out the best option to trade him out last week. 😁
I'll take the 15 and reconsider...

My Palmer 2c? Maresca's already said that he can't play 2 games in a week and that it seems "random", (Ie. Some days it feels OK, some days it doesn't), and he's played one game of over 60 minutes all season.

Everyone will have their own "value", but he's a no for me.
I'd only go there if I had someone that I was keen to get rid of. I don't think he's an 'upgrade' for too many, atm.

I'm a little stuck on what to do with Palmer

My current midfield is Bruno, Foden, Rice, Szob & Minteh

A lot of people are doing Minteh to Palmer this week which makes sense with Minteh about to drop cash. Although it's pretty lineball as to which would score better this week (I'd lean towards Minteh).

The other, slightly left field option, would be to wait a week and then trade Foden to Palmer. Foden would have peaked in price and it's 18M for a guy who I expect to average 11ish going forward. We also never get to VC or C Foden because of Haaland.

Or just pass on Palmer altogether

Exactly! 😎

(Slightly tongue in cheek, extreme case of course, but I definitely see parallels).

And to UnknownPlayer 's comment, don't forget it's the highest score that wins, not best team value.
Minteh is a top 10 Mid and av's just under 10 ppg at home (8+ in 6 of 8) and is as likely to fire this week as anyone else.
(Srry if that sounds more condescending that I mean it).

Wish I had have listened to the other man on my shoulder last week...
...thinking about ditching the Thiago experiment for Saka while I still can.
Wolves might not be the goal fest we were thinking (although home v. BM the week after would be a nervous watch! 😬)

Brentford have the 3rd lowest Shots in the Box total and non penalty xG in the last 5 matches...
I know fixtures come into play, but they were outplayed by Leeds last week, just 4 SiB and xG <1

I'm doing it.

Thiago to Saka. It might bite me over the next 2-3 weeks, but long term it's definitely the play. (Even with the likely extra minutes).

Again, his non-penalty numbers are actually quite poor.
And, Arsenal are just as likely to get spot kicks as anyone else!

The kicker for me is the uncertainty over my Mids. Iwobi is a great loop option, but with Garner on 4 yellows and some probable rotation over the next month I might just have to turn him into some points.
(Would like to make him Enzo this week if it wasn't for the loop option).

Gabriel not far away for those who held.

I guess we're all VC'ing Haaland.

3 games in exactly 2 weeks for Man U, so you'd think he'll miss them.

Might be back for Burnley the following Thursday, but even then there's Arsenal and City straight up after...

That's a lot of cash to be sitting around for 6 weeks.
I still don't really like where I'm at with trades remaining, but I don't have Rice, so I guess it's an easy trade...

But as I said earlier, I do like Everton's run pretty much all the way home. A Tarkowski/Keane double up might just do the trick...

Dirty that I had to take Milenkovic's 4 after Van Hecke missed. (Just as dirty that the penalty was the only moment that Fulham even looked like scoring 🤬).

Bruno to Rice.
Milenkovic to Keane.
Haaland (vc), and alarm set for 1am Sunday. 🙄

I'm holding Bruno too and I will start 3 defenders instead.

It sounds like his hammy injury isn't too serious and there aren't any other mids that are worth wasting trades on.

It's hard to get any accurate information about injuries though, most of the managers are vague in their assessments.

Timber not named hurts. Had him traded in for Murillo who is now obviously locked. 45 minutes to work out the best play but might just bring in Gabriel a week early and leave him on the bench. Not ideal with his high BE but no one else appeals atm.

Urgh. Then Gabriel comes on late and gets a price-plumetting 1.

(Honestly, their run from here on in isn't great anyway, imo, although I know Gab is fixture-proof to a certain extent).

Liverpool fluffed a stock-standard c/s too.
And, I got the coin flip wrong (which is the obvious downside to my 'unique' backline strategy (4x <5% owned, plus VVD [who was in for pretty much this week specifically! 🤬]...
...started Truffert over Van Hecke. Cost 11 points. [Would have preferred to play neither, but saw Minteh start on the bench].

Still, 117 all out. Can't see too many behind me with bigger scores, so hopefully a decent rank jump.

🤞

For planning, this may be the last time we see Semenyo in a BM shirt too. 😞

I finished on 97 with Ekitike captain who I traded in for Watkins who then scored a double for Villa after coming off the bench.

My only other decent double figure scores were from Gvardiol and Saka.

I'm having a mare this week 77 + Xhaka.

Traded in Xhaka, Keane (good) and Bowen (bad). Benched Anderson who has outscored my 3 mid's on field.

How good is this game lol

Yeah this will be interesting. His value is going to rise now, so he's a hold for a little while. As the latest new shiny toy at Citeh he'll probably be safe from rotation for a while.

Finally traded this campaigner this week after starting him.
