While not to overthink it again (can't help it), there's also a world where 3kz is the wolf trying to get rid of the Mafioso too and has just lied the whole time. This time though they have the Alpha's readings and they're searching for the Beta to join them. 3kz happy to fall on sword for Alpha to get Beta.

I know that is 95% the case and as I said to him when he revealed it, it's what I thought. But much like when I'm evil, it's still better to think up the scenarios in case say I die and it's on the table.
