Go to love Lazio manager Sarri's comments...

Lazio were placed under a transfer embargo in the summer when the club failed to comply with Serie A’s equivalent of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules. Many expected Sarri to quit, but he has too much respect for Lazio owner Claudio Lotito.

“It’s always best to have a tough president than a foreign investment fund,” Sarri said. “At times it’s best to have a row face-to-face than work for a fund where you don’t know who to talk to.”

WA state govt didn't have the Saudi oil money to bribe the AFC.

It's good for the sport this didn't happen but it's when, not if the floodgates open to playing games NFL-style across the world.

With the shitshow of 2025 behind us, we get to look forward to it all over again in 2026. We ain’t getting any better.

Thank **** Optus Sport on Stan is remaining for $10 a month. So I get to keep paying the same price to watch us be shit, that I have been paying for years.

Apparently he has scored against goalkeepers born in all of those decades.

Won't be too long before the geyser plays against a player born in the 10s.

I reckon he won't retire either when he's done with PL. Can see the old git playing until 45 professionally, dropping down the leagues gradually.

I understand loving the sport, but I don’t really see the point of him doing that. You would think he would just retire as soon as no PL clubs want to sign him and enjoy his retirement with his family. Instead of going through long preseasons, matches, extensive travelling in lower divisions for the next several years.

I can understand someone like Ronaldo playing as long as he has since he wants to get to 1000 goals in his career and play in a record sixth World Cup. But James Miner in League 1?
