You've just used Human Rights Watch as a source to support ousting Maduro. They also said this about Trump:

I guess we have no choice but to bomb Florida, raid Maralago and fly Trump to Sydney in handcuffs?
Cmon….when a third of the US population flees the country you may have a point..fmd

Pretty nuanced and fair to say, the majority of Venezuelans who fled would obviously be in favour and those who stayed would indeed be fearful of the uncertain because as bad as Maduro was, people knew what to expect, as bad as it was, and foreign intervention always brings around further uncertainty.

Don't mistake it for support for Maduro though.

Page 18 - Is Maduro viewed as legitimate by Venezuelans inside the country
Among Venezuelan residents:
55.6% say the election was stolen
13.7% say the election was free and fair
30.7% don’t know
Only 14% inside Venezuela accept the election that kept Maduro in power

Page 15 - Do Venezuelans think the country is a dictatorship?
Among Venezuelan residents:
54.4% say Venezuela is a dictatorship
18.2% say it is a democracy
27.3% don’t know
Barely 1 in 5 believe the system is democratic

Pages 12–13 - Who do Venezuelans blame for the humanitarian crisis?
Among Venezuelans inside the country:
67.4% blame Maduro’s authoritarian regime
19.9% blame US policies
4.2% blame the opposition

The 'don't know' figures are typical of people polling in dictatorships due to fear of reprisals, either form the government or people against the government.

I'm not mistaking it for support for Maduro. Just because a leader of a country doesn't have majority support in a small poll at a particular time doesn't justify a military invasion and extradition. I'd hope you know that.

"Don't know" figures have no correlation with polling in dictatorships. Where's that notion from? A lot of Australian polls have "Don't know" respondents on a variety of issues.

Yes I'm aware. I wasn't saying you'r suggesting it's support for Maduro.

They do but it's almost always in the single digits, not 30-40% of respondents.

Good to see whoever wrote that wasn't biased at all, lmfao.

Got a link for it?
You've just used Human Rights Watch as a source to support ousting Maduro. They also said this about Trump:

I mean thats just lazy

I find it amazing that your first instinct is "everyone is just saying this is bad because Trump did it". Are you 12?
I can guarantee the reaction would be completely different if it was Obama or even Sleepy Joe who did it.
The Socialists would be out in force, saying the oppressed have been freed.

Yep. You're 12. Bit of a late night for you?

Not me. My position is consistent

Kidnapping a foreign leader on their home soil and bringing them to America is a shit thing to do - no matter if the person is a piece of shit or a golden angel

It sets a dangerous precedent where it happens more and more

He literally quoted the same website to justify Trump's actions in Venezuela. I'm just posting what they have said about Trump on the same website. Keep up.
Funny read though. Looks like a Wikipedia editor wrote it.

An activist website though, so I shouldn't expect much from it.

Yes you did and you’re comparing the issues in the US with those in Venezuela….even a 12 yr old can see they are entirely different 😉

If there is then I don't recall seeing one. Can't see I look at a heap of polls though.

With all due respect, I do.

A quick example is in a Resolve Poll from last week:

Do you support a Royal Commission into antisemitism in Australia?
Yes 48
Don't know 34
Oppose 17

🤷

Do you think Trump genuinely wants to end the war in Ukraine?

I think he does.

He campaigned on ending it.

He also campaigned on lowering grocery costs, releasing the Epstein files and not starting any foreign conflicts.

The fact you went to this line rather seems disengenous.

The US government on the whole has had a rather violent history with coups for big business and capitalism in Latin America.

People are just hating the current US government because its once again Do a coup, Install a patsy, pillage the nation for natural resources, fling out dissidents from helicopters, X years is still poor.

Apparently 1 in 3 Americans also believed their election was 'stolen'
Should Chyna have sent in the helicopter gunships?

Has the USA been a dictatorship for more than 2 decades and had a series of rigged elections whilst the country goes to the absolute pits?
