Going out on a limb here and predicting Daicos to win the Brownlow this year.

NWM and Rankine are the two with the potential to get to Nick's level.
But Nick's got another level he can get to as he adds strength.
What are the chances of either Rankine or NWM doing what Nick has done over the last three seasons and having multiple podium finishes in the 3 major awards in 3 consecutive seasons?NWM and Rankine are the two with the potential to get to Nick's level.

I'd say close to zero, given the only other player to have done that since all three awards have been available is.... Gary Ablett Jnr.

What about serong, I heard he has a Naicos poster on his wall.NWM and Rankine are the two with the potential to get to Nick's level.

Absolutely, I can see him continuing to improve, and I love watching him play.Yeah can’t see NWM improving with his team improving and him growing into his 188 frame.
Showed nothing late when released into the midfield
Think he finished top 10 in most awards and top 3 in one definitely. They win more games and the freedom of playing mid field with extra quality he should waltz it in,

But... it is a big step to only be the 3rd player since the turn of the century to finish top 3 in multiple major awards for 3 consecutive years.
Love Serong. What about serong, I heard he has a Naicos poster on his wall.
Won all 3 rookie awards
The last three seasons 3 Bnf 3 AA
He’s just learning to be the best whilst being sat on.
Averaging 34d(18 contested) 9 cl
6 tackles 6 i50 1 assist in finals and him and the team to peak over the next 5 years
Serong could crack AFL like daicos could.

OK.Not really no
That’s expected from someone like yourself who knows football like the back of your hand.Love Serong.
You'll find in a previous post i rate him the 3rd best performed player in the AFL over the past 3 seasons, behind only Daicos and Bont.

OK.
Mynamesinuse doesn't think it's a big step for a player having his first year in the top 10 of all major awards, to finishing on the podium of multiple major awards for three consecutive seasons, despite only two players having achieved it in the two plus decades the awards have been available...
Gotcha.
Most likely in a rebuilding side
Will be a huge challenge
LOLOLOL.Then released into playing footy better than anyone played last year.
I think he's the most underrated player in the league. Sensational inside mid. What about serong, I heard he has a Naicos poster on his wall.

Some weird points in all that which I can’t be bothered going into. For the last 2 seasons, Daicos has won the most possessions in the attacking midfield zone and been involved in more than 30% of his teams scores - only other players to do that in both 24-25 have been Bont, Petracca, Heeney and Z.Merrett.
He played the inside mid role out of necessity in 2024, as T.Mitchell and DeGoey couldn't get on the park. He body meant he shouldn't be physically ready yet to play that role, but he just used his agility and ability to read the ball off hands to get to it first anyway.
Need to check your stats. The Lions actually kicked 10 goals from stoppages for the match, and it was stoppages inside F50 that were the big problem.
But again why you decide this was solely a Daicos issue is fascinating?
In the QF DeGoey and Long combined to win 22 CPs and 11 clearances.
In the PF DeGoey and Long combined to win 14 CPs and 3 clearances.
Daicos in Q3 had most disposals on the ground, 2nd most pressure acts, and won the 2nd most clearances...if your other midfielders ain't shown up a strong team like Brisbane are going to cut you up, as they did.
Only a concern if it is an ongoing problem.
2025 was always rumours of injury issues, starting in pre-season with the plantar fascia problem.
Off-season the chance to rest and hopefully attack 2026 with no issues.
Yep, some more inane crap about how you think he had a poor game in the PF and doesn't influence on the scoreboard despite contributing to more of his teams scoring in 2025 than Bont, Heeney and Petracca. Some weird points in all that which I can’t be bothered going into.
I’ll just repeat myself
Which backs up my point they try to get the ball to him as often as they can.Yep, some more inane crap about how you think he had a poor game in the PF and doesn't influence on the scoreboard despite contributing to more of his teams scoring in 2025 than Bont, Heeney and Petracca.

It’s more the strategy of making him the main man than his Preformance.
I don’t think he’s a goal scoring mid which shows in his finals records for goals and goal assists.
I don’t think he’s an a inside mid which shows in the fact that he had one clearance in the prelim that wasn’t a centre bounce attendance.
The answer to the op is
No
Maybe, until you look at the other 3 namesView attachment 2505306
Making the AA team is no small feat, great even, every player there should be proud, but for supposedly "the best player in the game" being on the bench must be a bit hard to take.

Maybe, until you look at the other 3 names![]()
They'll just have to settle for a Brownlow and Players MVP between themYep, they are on the bench too, which indicates they were not the best for their positions in 2025 either.

Oh, it is now, is it?Maybe so, but the AA is the better award for finding out how good players were during the season.
