Ross could make it to 150+ games and potentially be a part in our next flag tilt. That's best case scenario from here I think. This talk of Sonsie being some sort of role in our future success is just bullshit. I don't know how the ** he is still on our list. He is soft as ** and the very opposite of a damaging player. If a team offered pick 136 for him in next years draft I'd take it
We’re in a position now where it really doesn’t matter if sons comes good or not and I reckon he was told in no uncertain terms he was a bees dick from delisted this year. He either pulls off a miracle career 180 or ta-ta.

Jack Ross is a free agent

Whilst Richmond supporters dont rate him as highly as other teams
He will get offers to move clubs and will most likely get paid similar $$$ to Hopper/Taranto

Watch Mini / Baker / JGTI / Clarke get in his ear to move
the eagles have the worst midfield in the comp

They all live in the same house and some say its the same clown

Thats an interesting topic

When you dig deep and ignore the Bias news we cop in Australia
Most countries would do exactly what Russia is doing
What, brutalising a neighbouring nation without provocation to occupy their land, steal all of their resources and eliminate their culture?

Yeah nah. Most countries don't have an evil lunatic with short man syndrome with nukes and delusions of rebuilding a crumbled empire at the helm. Thankfully.

It's like saying that most men would r*pe if they knew they were powerful enough to get away with it.

When the USSR was dismantled what did the kremlin have as #1 priority and the west agreed to
My understanding is that As part of the Russians removing the hundred thousand troops they had in Germany etc nato promised not to expand to the east. (“Not one step”… was agreed to). For 30 years nato has been moving east. The final straw for Russia was (the week leading up to the Russian invasion) kamala Harris talking about the US pushing for Ukraine to join NATO.
Yes this is a crap situation for Ukraine (and the Russian soldiers) But to say this was unprovoked is ignorant.

Anyhow I really hope Jack Ross gets a great run at it this year. Was rewatching the Carlton game from last year, he played a big roll in our comeback. His best is definitely best 23 for now.

Number #1 priority for Yeltsin was to secure control over the Soviet nuclear arsenal and ensure it remained under a single, centralized authority.

Hence the Budapest Agreement in 1994, where Russia (and NATO) pledged security assurances to Ukraine in exchange for Ukraine giving up its Soviet-inherited nuclear arsenal, with Russia agreeing to respect Ukraine's independence, sovereignty, and borders.

Putin and his ongoing and increasing imperialistic ambitions to return to the glorious Soviet empire to it's previous stature has resulted in the repeated violation by the Kremlin of these commitments, notably Chechnya, Georgia, the 2014 annexation of Crimea and now the 2022 invasion.

Gorbachev had earlier also sought assurances that NATO would not aggressively expand eastward, but of course the Kremlin's own warmongering and proclivity towards the influencing other nation's elections has spooked the likes of Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and the Baltics into assuring their own existence by voluntarily joining the defensive pact.

They of course have been shown to be fully justified in these concerns with Russia's ambitions growing, with the forever neutral Sweden and Finland even now shoring up their defensive stance with NATO as a direct result of the Ukraine invasion. So yeah, smart move Vlad.

Don't ask me to defend the US's position in all of this - they've repeatedly got their hands dirty too. That's not Ukraine's fault though.

Reading western media ( US media )
I was in Ukraine back in 2019 for 2 months and the people in Kiev & Odessa were not of that opinion
the people that i spoke with in that time mostly were concerned already by the US influence and the direction it was leading the country into.

But sure lets accept what comes out in the media as gospel

Yes, I think that's what he meant.

Well that's probably my point, of course there are huge shared cultural connections and sympathies in Ukraine for Russia, and vice versa. Soft power, diplomacy, and respect, was all that was ever needed for their mutual security.

It's why we never launched a brutal war of attrition against New Zealand. Imagine passing our youth through a meatgrinder because Auckland was 'getting too close to Beijing'. Bonkers and completely counterproductive.

Anyway, hope Jack Ross has a great year!
