I have the feeling that its goign to be Hogg out, Tait in, on a very fast track and the poor little Indians are going to be distracted and running for cover.

A text message from Indian batting ace Sachin Tendulkar to his country's cricketing chiefs may have led to the suspension of the team's tour of Australia.

Tendulkar was upset at the three Test ban imposed on teammate Harbhajan Singh for calling Andrew Symonds a monkey during the second Test at the SCG.

Harbhajan has denied the claims and the Indian tour is on hold pending an appeal.

According to reports from India, Tendulkar sent an SMS to the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Sharad Pawar on Monday assuring him of Harbhajan's innocence and suggesting that India should play the third Test in Perth only if the punishment was revoked.

"Harbhajan is innocent and I can assure you on this," read the text message from Tendulkar.

"In this hour of crisis, the Board should stand by him.

"I suggest we should play in Perth only if the ban is lifted."

Tendulkar was batting with tailender Harbhajan during the spinner's altercation with Symonds.

Tendulkar gave evidence at a hearing after the match by referee Mike Procter, who subsequently found Harbhajan had racially abused Symonds and imposed the three Test ban.

The BCCI on Monday suspended the team's tour of Australia pending the outcome of an appeal by Harbhajan expected to be lodged with the International Cricket Council today.

The third Test is scheduled to start in Perth on Wednesday January 16.

The Indians were originally due to arrive in Canberra on Monday for a match against an ACT Invitation XI starting on Thursday.

That match is now in doubt, although local organisers are continuing with their preparations.

The BCCI risk a fine of up to $US2 million ($A2.3 million) for pulling out of the tour and could be liable to reimburse Cricket Australia for any losses incurred.

Yes you can do something about it. You can ask questions of the standard of umpiring and the sports governing body should at least listen to you complaints. No matter what sport you play games should not be decided by umpires.

When i was living in Sunbury my basketball team won back to back championships. Our second title was won because the other team had to forfeit because they didnt have enough players to take the court.

Why? Because the umpiring was so bad that most of their players ended up fouling out.

Did we deserve to win? Yes we were the best team all year
Did the other team have a right to whinge? Bloody oath they did

Why did KFC pay their advertsing agency to come up with one of the lamest campaigns in the history of television?

Maybe Harbajhan asked Roy if he liked banana in his Filler?

I agree. Australia should be fined for bringing the game into disrepute.

'tis a lame campaign though, I'll pay that. Have to say though, I'm more surprised that our cricketers are allowing themselves to be ridiculed by those stupid voice actors.

But the award for worst fast food campaign, I believe, goes for that new Domino's salad ad, with the goth girl who all of a sudden, after eating one of said salads, becomes a 'fantastic' musician... I'm tempted to try the salad, pick up my guitar and then sue Domino's after I again perform what can only be refered to as 'noise pollution':D

As long as its authenticated with one of the A tag chips:D

I have severe issues with professional athletes selling themselves out for a product that in all likelihood they are forbidden to eat anyway due to its lack of legitimate healthiness.... Weet Bix, fine. I get it. KFC? Just wrong.

I love Hogg, and I love his grin... he is one of the few guys that I see on the cricket that, when you look in their eyes, you know they genuinely appreciate being on the field and respect the baggy green.

When I read that the Indians were countering the racism claims with claims that Hogg called one of their players a bastard, I almost vomited.

I mean, really?

No, the way I've viewed his grin is that of a smart arse like 'haha I play for Australia and you don't haha look at me haha I'm so funny haha plus more haha'.

The whole bastard thing though, what a load of BS.
