Are you lost?
no she isn't lost she just has some very good blue fans who actually agree with her :thumbsu: you will get to finals one day in future but not in 08 or i think 09 maybe 2010 but you will get there hopefully way quicker then collingwood i would rather see you guys get a G/F in say the next 5 years then collingwood:D:p

It was more a referrence to the personal abuse, and whether the poster thought they were in Bay 13, and not on the CFC forum.

All these points can be made without the abuse.

Capiche?:thumbsu:

i never abuse unless i am on bay 13:thumbsu:

i like occasionally going on other club sites for a chat or debate never to cause trouble .

i think kimbopen wanted the discussion on bay 13 where it could be debated more rigorously if you know what i mean but i am only guessing , i don't think she wanted to cause trouble i think she was just challenging him/her to take it to 13 to see how it went my guess anyway .

Obviously you need surgery for two major flaws...

You need surgery to remove your hand from your dick and you need major surgery to remove your tongue from Millers arse.

if Nick94 is your first name and the year that you were born in, then you were all of 1 when we won the flag in 95 and it must have been your jealous parents who poisoned your mind.

Then again, I would say that you are probably about 63 years old and 94 was when you first got a piece of ass... Unfortunately for you, you cant marry your mother or was it your sister.

Either way, your attempt at slagging off the Carlton football club has hit a short point in that you know absolutely **** all about us. Now how about you crawl back into that small dark hole where you came from...

What a riduculous statement. Even so, at least we've been in a GF recently. 1982 is a very very long long time ago. :)

And what a great game and year that was .

And who was the team that beat Bitchmond that year... could it have been a team winning their third grand final in 4 years and a consequetive grand final...

Gosh, wonder what team that was... from memory, they wear a single color... navy blue I think :p

Carlton have potential, and that is that....

the line up isnt too different to what it has been in previous year.. .the inclusion of one player doesnt mean that you guys will succeed...

Infact, last season, it wasnt until about rd 14 or so that i believed we were a genuine chance to make finals....

It is good to have confidence, hwoever, if you keep going on about it too early, many opposition fans will get tired of it, and turn them on you

Just as well we picked up more than 1 player then . Also try reading through our theads again and actually take in what the general blues population are writing . Like every other team , we hope to make the finals but that is not the expectation . Most supporters seem to be looking around 12th .

Why shouldn't we be excited. The club has landed the best player in the AFL during trade week, and we have a very young and exciting group of kids coming through, who are putting in very solid pre-seasons.

We are also excited by the fact that Brett Ratten has been appointed senior coach. IMO, he could have the same effect on the playing group that John Worsfold has had at West Coast. A favourite son who has come back to coach the team he played for.

A lot of things would have to go very right for you to even scrape into the finals IMO. But then again a lot stranger things have happened. You would need a near injury free year, Murphy to explode, Gibbs to almost explode, Judd to not miss a beat after changing clubs, Stevens to not miss a beat coming back from injury, Fevola to have another good year and the defence to seriously step up, Thornton needs to have a career best season and/or 2 or 3 young players need to solidify spots in the backline not to mention you want Simpson and Carazzo to replicate their great form. Too many variables.

I would imagine most level-headed Carlton suppoters believe that the finals is most likely going to be just out of reach in 2008. However, having said that, I really think that we can get 10 wins on the board next year.

Great post though Jabso. :thumbsu:

These things can happen Jabso . I think Simpson and Carrazzo will replicate their form as well and possibly be more damaging if the other scenarios you mentioned occur . Murphy does seem set to explode , so hopefully he does while with Gibbs , we'll just have to wait and see .

That question turns into two.

If we make the finals in 2008 are we

A. A credible and a side who can do something?

or

B. Making up the numbers.

I think if we make the finals this year we'll more than likely be a B option, the years to really be able to tell will be 2009-2010. They will be the years we can really rise and mean something in the finals race.

Ridiculous post! If all the things that you stated went right we would be playing off for the premiership, not just scraping into finals. Basically you are describing the best midfield in the league peaking in form and the best full forward in the league dominating. Don't know who could come close to us if all this occurred....

Honest input there Jabso...

We would need an injury free year, but having said that, I think that we have some serious cover for the mid's and the forwards, it is only in the backline where a serious injury might tear us apart.

The players you have mentioned would definitely all need to step up to the plate in the coming season for us to even compete. And with the inclusion of Judd and the return to Carlton of one of our all time favorite sons who isnt going to be playing them out of position there could be a couple of very stunned sides out there next year.

However, for us to make the finals this year, we would need Hawthorn, the poos and Port to have shockers to even give us a glimmer of a chance at making the 8. If we could make 9-10 this year it's going to be a fantastic year and realistically, 10-12 is more in line with where a majority of supporters would like to see the club in 2008.

Thanks very much for coming into the board and not following the usual Collingwood, Richmond et al supporters line of "your crap" and "your a bunch of tankers"

I agree there are "too many variables" in terms of predicting where they'll finish in 2008. So many changes have taken place over the past 12 months of so, and the addition of a new coach, new coaching support team, return of Judd and Stevens, plus the inclusion of another wave of draft talent, plus anticipated progress of existing top-shelf talent, make the prediction process for 2008 difficult. But that is not the point. The point is not where we'll finish in 2008 - which BTW could be anywhere from 10th to 5th. The point is getting the whole player group and team moving forward and developing. The aim is build a team to win flags, and this not only requires talent - which we now have in bucketloads - but a burning desire, consistency, discipline, a cutting-edge gameplan, and excellent off-field support. We have the components now, the challenge is to get the whole group moving forward as a team. :)

Well put parrot :)

If the team can click under the new coach and with the new game plans that he brings to the table... anything can happen.
