Reminiscent of Radwanska’s 4th round match at last years US Open after she had just beaten Sharapova. Shouldn’t matter in the long run but she needs to come ready to play every match and avoid these showings.

Ana's match has started and Channel 7 are too busy showing Hot Shots and ads. Joke.

With Kuznetsova failing badly at this Oz Open, Ana must be a good chance of making it to #2 in the rankings if she can get past Venus.

Well done Ana, great win.

The OZ Open is her to win or lose, she is the most talented player remaining, and only nerves will stop her.

Sharapova can be very hot and cold though.

She can look like $1,000,000 1 day, and nothing the next.

I think Ana has the more poweful groundstrokes.

The main issue she has is mental.

I thought today at 4-4 in the 1st set, when Venus broke back, she could have capitulated.

Instead she hung tough, and it was Venus who made the cruical errors instead.

Too good, the improvement in her game over the past 6 or so months has been amazing. Her fitness is now very good and she's able to get to a lot more balls. That forehand has always been a weapon but her backhand is now fairly reliable. But it's her play at the net that's been the big improver; 12 months ago she couldn't volley to save herself but now she rarely loses a point when she approaches.

She's just sratching the surface of her potential. She has everything it takes to be one of the greats.

She should beat Hantuchova comfortably. She simply has too much power. As for the potential final against Sharapova, I like those odds even though Maria is playing so well.
