Jamie's one of the most talented players ever to come through WAFLW. Just not in the athletecism department. Elite kick, vision, smarts, etc, etc. If she had just average AFLW-level athletecism, she'd be a killer, but she doesn't.
Great to see her putting the work in though. There's an ongoing...
I remember her from watching the U16s last year online. From memory, she was my 4th best WA girl, behind Charlie Fletcher and Tiama Collard from Peel, and Bella Nelson from West Perth.
I just recall that she was tall and fast with skills, looked very likely. But then, there's lots of really...
If that's the case it could even drop her down the draft order. Interstate clubs will only pick players they think are some chance of sticking around. If after all the interviews they get the impression she'd much rather stay in Perth, they might just leave her to us. Worked for India Rasheed...
Another West Coast supporter coming through the system. We probably can't get her next year unless we really suck, because she'll go high, but maybe a few years after that...

U18s and U16s schedules should be announced soon. WA's gonna suck this year, only three real big top-age prospects that I can see. But some of the bottom agers are terrific, 2027/28 should be huge for WA players in the draft.
After all the endless talking Bastiani does over the U18 broadcasts, blabbering over live action so the main commentator can't call the play, this is the best she comes up with?
Western may not play another game. After the ACL she's going to have to get past Russo, Rowley, Skepper and Slocombe...
It's going to be a real contest for spots in the midfield once Rowls gets healthy again, now we've got Russo in, and Painter/Rentsch looking for midfield time. And that's what every good club needs - good players competing for spots. Especially in the midfield, because the midfield is far and...
This is fun. I've been watching Wolly develop for years now, so it's great just to see her finally make it.
Also interesting to see how many mentions West Coast gets - Daisy sends her a special message, which obviously means something to her, and she lists Chuck and Ella as friends and...
No project players except Collingwood taking another bunch of tall netballers. I know size matters, but it's nuts to me they'd spend those list spots on netballers and not on MacKereth.
RookieMe says people don't like MacKereth's lack of defensive pressure. Seems daft to me - you can teach defensive pressure. What you can't teach is athletecism and skill, and MacKereth's got both. Given how rare natural forward talents are, any coaching setup worth their salt would surely back...
In a few years I reckon Russo will be better than Lewis (she's certainly much better at this point as a junior), will probably take over as our key inside mid at some point, letting Roberts move a bit more to the outside. If we can just get Rentsch and Painter more on the ball, in the next few...
The Demons are the benchmark. No big player ever left Melbourne, through all the expansions. And that's where Daisy's from, no doubt she's trying to build the same strong culture here.
