Did you see us get pounded by Geelong? Where was Treloar in that game? 18 mighty disposals. De Goey gets 14 disposals playing forward. IMO that Geelong game was the straw that broke the camel's back with Treloar. He was putrid in that game. Adams throws himself in there. Admittingly he...
GWS are showing their arrogance. They were given a champion team, but couldn't win a flag. Even though players left and moved on like Adams, Treloar, etc.. they always had big draft picks coming in through all those concessions and the huge Zone they were given.
Maybe I'm wrong about them...
It's been like that for years. We are already at this point.
It's constantly mentioned in the media as 'a work place', and OH&S, and basically compared to working in an office. I even see the public refer to it the same way. It's gone that way with all the CTE and injury stuff. Once it went...
I think that final may have been the last straw with Treloar. He underperformed really badly.
It's not a one off.. it's on going. Maybe they just had enough of the inconsistency and that embarrassment of that finals loss was enough to break the camel's back.
They are both similar in their positioning on the ground - Strong Mids, who go forward. But there is one difference... When Dusty goes forward, he just creates chaos because the defence is already tied up with Lynch, Reiwoldt, Castanga, Bolton, Lambert, etc etc... When Geelong go forward...
Forwards are very inconsistent with those point based systems. Simply because if their mids aren't getting them the ball or bad delivery, it's impossible for them to have an impact on the game.
Year 2020, GWS is the 3rd last ranked team for inside 50's. They sit above only Fremantle and...
I think The Cats will take it.
Dangerfield has gone to a new level. He doesn't want that record of most games without a GF appearance. He's on a Lebron James-esque mission to win at all costs.
Exactly right. Sports are now about the individual. People are beginning to follow People, and not Teams. It hasn't really happened like that in the AFL yet, but with NBA for example... I know people that just follow Lebron James.. whatever team he goes to, they support. There are other...
It's an American model they followed. If the AFL didn't know this would happen, then it's a lie.
Free Agency began in the AFL around the same time Lebron James banged together a super team at the Miami Heat. The people at the AFL would have known this. The same thing is now happening in the...
Keep in mind that Brisbane played nearly ALL their games at home this year.
They only lost 3 games in the H&A, but having even away games played in their home state gave them a huge advantage. It remains to be known if it was a regular season with games being played all over the country...
Its the supporters, not the club itself.
I get annoyed by Richmond and West Coast supporters, and these are both two of Collingwood's rivals. But I don't hate the players or the club themselves. I actually enjoy watching Richmond and West Coast play. They have great teams and exciting...
They would keep going. I'd imagine it would just be like the NRL with the New Zealand Warriors.
Even though it's different countries, unless we have some kind of dispute or war... sport and other activities will continue
That's right. He's very soft.
I'd prefer keeping guys like Adams, and moving De Goey and Daicos as our future midfield. Treloar has skill but just no hardness about him. His disposals are literally grab the ball and rush kick to nobody in particular when he has some pressure on him. He is...
