I suppose I could see it your way when it comes to a game against the Bulldogs, but what the F was going on with the loss against Essendon? We gave the rest of the competition a 1 game head start on the ladder when we lost to those plonkers. There's a worrying brittleness to us that I hope Kingy...
Fugly: We don't deal well with expectation. Losing this game and to Essendon (ffs) shows that we don't handle pressure and prefer to be underdogs. We need to toughen the f*** up, quick smart.
That's all I've got because if I think about the game any more, I'll get mad.
No doubt this is burning him, big time. But there are so many worthy things to concern ourselves with these days, anyone worried about Pendles' financial security really has the wrong priorities.
I said during the week that if we lost by less than 20 points that's a positive, so I'm going to take my own advice for a change and not get grumpy about this match. We did well. If anything it was Sydney who underperformed. We are miles ahead of where I thought we would be this year. Many teams...
I'm expecting a 50 point drubbing so I'll be pretty impressed if we can get within 20 points in this one. I would like to see our defence control the damage because that's our biggest weakness. Sydney could easily score 140 against our defence. Would be nice to keep them to around 100. I just...
Indeed it is. I don't expect us to stay up there for long, but it certainly has been a refreshing change for us. I see us finishing somewhere around 9-10th, and if we do, I think that would still be an excellent result. We nailed it with the coach. He's got us playing as a team again.
You got that right. I had undiagnosed delayed concussion as a teenager in 1990, before it was a thing. I went to uni in 91 and did some advanced mathematics subjects and I swear I couldn't understand a damn thing for about a year. I would read the same page over and over
again and just couldn't...
Melks copped a lot of crap early on in his career at Melbourne, but slowly but surely he's won literally everybody over. I think popping Steven May that night helped... I'd say he's a club champion now.
Hey mate, just want to say congratulations for fronting up to your issues like that. That takes courage. I have no doubt you're much closer to achieving peace of mind. I like your proactive idea with the peer advocacy too. I hope you do pursue that. Having a greater purpose is always incredibly...
