    Dons obviously value Merrett highly after not trading him for 4 x first rounders. Makes sense for them to now lock in Merrett for the next 5 years at $1.5 million per year.

    Can't wait for the narrative in the media. Melbourne did well by getting 3 first rounders and got great value for Trac and GC did well by adding a star. Dons did well by getting 3 first rounders from the Hawks who did badly by overpaying for a 30 year old.

    It will be interesting to see what the Trac deal was in comparison. Apparently 3 firsts with picks coming back. Whereas Zerrett seems to be 3 firsts with nothing coming back (but worse first rounders).
