Play best 22. Selection based on performance in games. Williams is a definite inclusion and O’Brien would be the first omitted based on Thursday night. If Martin fit he definitely plays. After that I’d leave it to the club who comes in or out as I didn’t see reserves game.

Great analysis on Bolton. Martin was Main but Bolton really carved us up in the centre and Williams out was massive in that context.

Agree 100% As Teague said though decision making is easier to fix than skill. He gets caught in the moment. I think coaching needs to take some responsibility as they are teaching a play in game but there are times when you just need to stop and compose yourself

ATO Doc has to sign off if a player subbed out for injury is to play the week after. Of course that doesn’t help if you sub someone off who is not playing well and wasn’t going to be selected the next week anyway.

I disagree. He may have some pain that he needs to play through but that is not unusual. Also an ankle strain in no way equates to a month or more of impact. He wouldn’t be playing if there is the risk of further injury or if he has incurred any structural damage.

The second one he stood on another players foot so I think it was just unlucky/coincidence. But if he does it again you can say I told you so!

It’s a close one. Cuningham could come in with Williams out. I still think he doesn’t provide enough over the course of a game. I’d still favour Gibbons as he is proven to be more reliable. Over 30 possessions in reserves game shows he is in form. I’d give him midfield minutes with Williams...

I agree with your 21. Eddie would be in if fit. I’d have Gibbons, Cuningham and LOB next in that order

I don’t get the notion that the fitness team would send out a player not fit in round one. Particularly one so critical who has not yet signed beyond this year.
