Cheap kicks around the backline. Champion data have a better metric which is basically kick outcome vs expected kick outcome which is far more accurate.
Yeo going at 57.7 tells you he was probably rushing the ball forward.
I assume you are using disposal efficiency on top 3 users which is a garbage stat since teams like us who chip around the backline have these massive % which are meaningless.
Whatever club he went to it would have been the same. The afl environment is tough for mentally strong people let alone someone who is already struggling in that area. Pardon the pun but point the finger is missing the point
Tbh I think you are over thinking how much is required for legend. 10% of the hall of fame is a large amount than most other sports with a similiar setup. We already have “legends” like Royce Hart or Ted Whitten. Hardwick is easily in the picture.
The eagles fielded a more experienced and older team than us on the weekend. The furphy they were a bunch of rookies is completely wrong.
They have a good core that they basically doubled down on after 2018.. and then most of them became permenantly injured. Now guys like Yeo are back and...
West coast actually played a more experienced and older team than us on the weekend. People need to realize our team profile is still very much developing.
At least Brodie can kick 50.
Banfield, serong and Fyfe all can’t kick a goal from 50. Our midfield almost never kick goals because they have such short range (and also because jlo makes them play too defensive)
Nah tbh there were a lot of other players who had much worse games than banfield and frankly I’d be very very surprised if he isn’t in the team next week.
Bingo card for the presser after the bulldogs game
They are really strong forward so we wanted to play with a good defence
They like to spread and move the ball quickly so we tried to lock the game down
etc etc
We spend too much time worrying about what the opponent is going to do.
People beating up on banfield who actually did something.
Yet not a mention of aish who was absolutely woeful today. Woeful. 9 possessions for a full game and I’d say 8/9 of them were clangers that went straight to the opposition. He is also a chief repeat offender of poor delivery into the...
A lot of sunk cost fallacy I reckon. The club will feel like we made the right decision to give him 4 years and will try to justify it by giving him games.
The right thing to do would be to pay him out at the end of the year and basically say yeah we ****ed up and gave him too many years. Doubt...
