I never really understand the zero tolerance approach on stuff like this. People make mistakes, the best way to help them learn is to sit with them through it - consequences, sure, but with empathy to their situation as well. Society loves vengeance "he did it, throw the ****ing book at him" but...
we hang onto him until the end of the season, mainly to support him and not leave him adrift. it's the right thing to do and will show the other players that they'll get supported at our club. he has no trade value so at the end of the year he goes home to WA and hopefully finds a great life for...
I actually think that's barely happened in the last couple of weeks. The first two weeks I agree, we were conceding a lot of uncontested marks to opposition defenders, but I think our entries have been way better since then. Deeper and more dangerous. I'd still personally prefer if we actually...
yeah I agree about coaches votes and completely agree that he's been good over a long period.
but I think he's only been a borderline A grader, not clearly in the AA or best ruck in the comp conversation.
highest coaches votes years for rucks:

90+: Gawn 2025 (92)

nah that's not how list management works. there are zero certainties, all you can do is increase the number of shots you get and do your best to make the most of every shot. if we don't take Collard with that pick 28 then the flow on effect might mean we don't end up with Hastie or Garcia, both...
completely agree, it's pretty clear they're still learning the gameplan and how to play with each other - at the moment there's 6+ guys in the side each week who basically didn't play with the group last year. chemistry takes time, especially when your core is as young as ours.
not a bad performance, obviously lost it a little in the last when weight of clearance numbers got too much. we won't win too many going -14 in clearances, their class and size just a bit much in there.
