Did anyone see if Cook was running with the mids or the backs this week.
I'd not be against us shuffling him back and letting someone else run the wing. Generally our HBFers get a hell of a lot more footy in their hands then our wingers. And i'd like to see Chef with ball in hand as much as...
A niggle in the back end of a 6 day break on back to back road games isn't generally ideal. But i'd be surprised if he's not playing.
His walk off the deck at the end of that clip didn't look overly restrictive.
In the reality in which both Neale and Bailey came to us (and thats not a reality in which im at all counting my chickens yet).
But in that reality, we would have no less the 5, non KPP, ex Lions in our best 23.
Hinge, Neale, Bailey, Keays, Ah Chee.
And Murray in the Coaches box.
I was watching Neale fairly closely on the weekend at the Barossa game. Still an absolute weapon this season at 32. If he's slowed down at all i'm not seeing it.
I think he could be a steal if the Lions are motivated to move him on given the off field stuff.
I wouldn't be against Cook moving back to the HBF on a more permanent basis now Hinge is injured.
That kid's confidence in his kicking is ultra high. I feel like he's trusting himself to bite off increasingly daring kicks. And the best part is he's hitting most of them so far this season.
I wonder which opposition coach will be the first to put time into Wayne this year?
I feel like this is Wayne best since 2018, and hes still a bit under the radar. But it won't take long to find out how important he is to our rebound scoring.
Could be Ross the Boss this weekend.
Yeah I love Keays in that role, cause he is aggressive enough running back towards goal to burn the player he's tagging. Its a very fine balance, but Ben seems to be pretty good at finding it.
Who do we think will run with NWM this week?
Bond coming back in would be a obvious candidate who can follow him all around the ground. But perhaps Max might be a better matchup in the air.
Just go super basic with the playstyle.
Nicks: "If Tom Stewart is standing in the D50, where do we kick it boys?"
Crows Mids: "Ummmmm, directly to Stewart?"
Nicks: "No, thats were we don't kick it. We kick it to the massive dude in the Crows #7 guernsey remember?"
Crows Mids: "Yep, thats right...
Forecast looks like a potential for 2mm over the course of the game based on the BOM. Having said that, the BOM has been way off its game this year. So it could end up being a monsoon!
Bond, Butts, Jones are three very negative styled players in the back 6. Probably will be handy playing against that annoyingly crafty forward line of the Cats, but also gonna be interesting to see how we transition out of defense with all those 3 on the park at once.
Could be another Milera...
Win or lose, I would love us to target TT at a super heavy rate tonight. I feel like we still underutilize him in terms of targets, and don't force teams to defend him 1on1 enough.
Having Moose play as another genuine marking forward might actually help him too. Get Fog out on the lead as a...
