List Mgmt. 2018 Draft Prospects aka the West and Khamis thread

To confirm, we’re potting a 17 year old who could potentially be our first round pick for not underage drinking and for having his parents with him at the Whitten Oval in an unknown capacity. Seriously? On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app

    2 years for the Bont

*Copies and pastes after realising i may have put this in the wrong thread* My understanding is that a two year extension under the current contractual format takes Bont to restrircted free agency. So from a Bulldogs point of view is better than a three year extension and unrestricted free...

Strategy Trade and List management Thread Part 2 (opposition supporters - READ posting rules before posting)

My understanding is that a two year extension under the current contractual format takes Bont to restrircted free agency. So from a Bulldogs point of view is better than a three year extension and unrestricted free agency. Also gives him the opportunity to get a big final contract, which if...

    Level 2 or level 1

I'm Level 1, smack bang centre wing about 4 rows back. Have been for about 10 years. My advice would be to stay on Level 2. The only reason we are still on Level 1 is because we enjoy the people around us. Etihad has a fair grade to the centre of the oval and its particularly noticeable that...

Cannot be understated how important the loss of three generational clubmen from the locker room is/was/will be. Standard setters. On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app

Analysis Do you have Wood going forward, or is it a massive flop?

I'd have him in defense. But i can understand the reasoning behind swingmaning him forward due to his ability to cover the ground / marking ability. If we can get it over the back and have him running towards goal matched up on tall defender, something like Jenkins at Adelaide (not a strength of...

    Round 1, 22 changes

I'm not sure he's best 22 but what of Lewis Young. I've barely heard a whisper of him this pre-season. Looked promising towards the back end last year.

What They're Saying - The Bulldogs Media Thread - Part 2

I've never understood the AFL offices/fans fear of the round ball. Soccer may be the world's biggest sport, but the AFL's point of difference is what will help it continue to succeed. Not by becoming more like it. There is room for both codes. Personally, I love them both.

Couldn't disagree more, there is just more content/coverage (good or bad) in the US which enables you to find what you like.

What They're Saying - The Bulldogs Media Thread - Part 2

I'm aware that AFL discussion is the cashcow for SEN, but the reason i didn't enjoy Finey was that his knowledge on sports other than footy was just so incredibly poor. Showed little to know interest in learning or being advised either. However, if you didnt like him because you thought him a...

Analysis Flexibility and versatility when overused hinder rather than aide

A very valid conversation topic, but i agree with this comment. Wouldn't surprise me to learn that Schache only spending time with ruck group to work on his aggression. Which in his short career sample size, has probably been what he's struggled most with.

List Mgmt. Sam Power Appointed General Manager of List and Recruiting.

Welcome back Sam, none of us have any idea exactly what you'll do, how you'll do it, and to what level. But we'll sure as hell have an opinion to share, even before you've started!

If there was ever something worth getting fined for, its not knowing what your players are up to after a premiership! I'd be more than willing to chip in for this fine next year if necessary.

Analysis What constitutes a successful draft pick/draft haul?

My problem with missing out on Hannan and Long isn't directed at the club, its directed at the AFL. They should allow clubs who develop players the opportunity to match the selection at the draft, much the same as father/sons.
