Vintage Bay Mofra's Bottom 50 of 2017 - the "finals were better last year" Edition

Beautiful execution just when the melts were lying in wait. Vince McMahon only wishes his writers could still pull off such a swerve.

What are the lessons clubs/media/fans will take from this year that are true and not so true?

True: A lot can change quickly in football with the competition so even. After Round 9, the term Richmondy was in full vogue and as a club they were a fair source of mirth. Even after Round 16 when they were belted by St Kilda they were 6th or 7th and considered one of the teams likely to drop...

    Nominating a club pre-draft

Given what he actually said and in all likelihood the question he was responding to, don’t think he’s done anything wrong at all. Lesson at just 17 not to trust the media. Does an interest piece in the lead up to the draft, answers an obvious question and that’s the tag line The West attach to...

Best Lists That Never Won A Premiership?

Definitely the team / era I thought of when I saw the thread title. Remember thinking when they traded in Gehrig and Hamill, added Riewoldt and Kozi, all with a midfield of Harvey, Hayes, Ball and Dal Santo and the likes of Goddard etc that they could be scary good. Maguire looked a KPD star in...

Ways for the team / player to improve 5>10% in 2018?

Definitely hope we can fine tune our tackling vs coralling and close in skills in general. Noticed many times in the season just gone if it was a 2 on 2 contest for the ball and we were in possession we'd end up being pressured and cough up possession, often via holding the ball. If the...

    Six points, Why?

Article a couple of years ago quotes AFL Historian as not knowing exactly why 6 points was chosen, but running with the mostly likely explanation being the link to cricket. The six points for a goal and one for a miss is most likely related to cricket scoring, Hutchinson says. “Cricketers...

Were West Coast really a 'state team' in the early 90s?

Bit disingenous to exlude Dunstall, Brereton (14 state games), Ayres (6 state games), Ben Allan (several games for W.A), Hall (20 games for SA according to Wiki though that seems high), Tuck (11 state games) and Mew (team of the century CHB and state rep). No reasonable or fair minded Eagles...

    Highest scoring round in history

Incredible year. Perth averaged over 100, yet still ended up with a percentage of only 64.97 after coughing up 157 points per game. Ralph and Beasley both kicked well over 100, the Krakouer brothers were tearing it up, even a young Laurie Keene kicked 9 for Subiaco and that was a couple of...

"Family Reasons" will it become an overuse term?

Different world back then as far as options to stay in touch, affordability of airfares etc to be fair.

Rumour Premiership Tiger star in trouble with the law - Nathan Broad named as The Photographer

Which has been done...posted part of an article straight off a lawyer's website and you've re-requested someone to explain it multiple times since that was posted.

Rumour Premiership Tiger star in trouble with the law - Nathan Broad named as The Photographer

That last bit of the last sentence.....that is the most likely outcome I can see unfolding. At best a he said / she said for prosecutors to sift through unless the player outright admits he sent it deliberately without consent. I suspect prosecutors will be glad to see the back of it.

Rumour Premiership Tiger star in trouble with the law - Nathan Broad named as The Photographer

Honestly, you've both provided some solid points to this thread but ended up miles apart and both supporting black and white positions out of line with reality. Aramis - much of the last few pages has come about to refute your position that this lady can NOT benefit financially other than a...

Rumour Premiership Tiger star in trouble with the law - Nathan Broad named as The Photographer

From a lawyer in W.A's website (Marsdens Law Group) on the topic of compensation in revenge porn cases. Obviously seems a more extreme case, but resulted in a 5 figure payout. Actions for breach of confidence In a recent decision, the Western Australian Supreme Court held the defendant liable...

Rumour Premiership Tiger star in trouble with the law - Nathan Broad named as The Photographer

Psychological injury caused by his negligence (proven criminal negligence IF it gets that far). The sad / disappointing thing is I actually think the most likely outcome, due to the nature of this offence on the scale of 'distribution of intimate image' laws and the way the legal system works...

Rumour Premiership Tiger star in trouble with the law - Nathan Broad named as The Photographer

As the complainant she has the right not to appear. If she makes it known she has no intention of appearing, it is VERY likely police and prosecutors would drop the matter at that point. Aramis, you've supplied some good info in this thread amongst the rumours and some nonsense. But, to...
