Worn against Sturt yesterday. As this guernsey is predominantly red it provided a good contrast to Sturt's all blue. Whenever Central and Sturt play the away team needs a clash guernsey as the colours are too close.
The SA State team wore navy and yellow chevrons before State of Origin. Adopted Royal blue for state of origin and have since returned to navy after the demise of State of Origin.
My club have this abomination. Sponsor integration non-existent. The sponsor overpowers and obliterates the design of the guernsey. I understand the need for sponsors and love how Peter Page Hyundai have been a Premier Partner of the club for the last 30 years, originally Holden. Peter Page...
Yes Centrals have the SANFL logo at the bottom of the number too. Also have that ridiculous font that makes no. 11 look like a white rectangle with a line down the middle.
The numbers are smaller than ever due to the placement of sponsors above and below the numbers.
I don't mind the blue shorts but prefer the white shorts. My feeling is that blue shorts will be reintroduced, if so blue away against NA.
I like your point about occasional red shorts. There isn't a clash as such against Sturt but it is difficult to distinguish the teams. There needs to be more...
Unlike the VFL where the rules were home team wore black shorts and away teams wore white shorts, in the SANFL each team nominated either white or black shorts for home games. I think in 1964 Central, North Adelaide, West Torrens and Woodville wore white shorts at home and possibly South...
All the best David, thanks for your service to the club.
I always thought he was a good player and couldn't understand the "hate" from many supporters.
Crows "supporters" now need a new whipping boy, scape goat.
Who is taking Mackay's place as the whipping boy?
I know Tex was wrong and it was bad to make a racist comment but why is he being portrayed as being worse than a murdering, paedophile rapist and guilty of committing the most heinous crime?
I don't know what was said but it was suggested he referred to Robbie Grey as a colour female anatomy...
I would rather have that across the jumper than the abomination that my club has presented. Are we the Central District Football Club od the Peter Page Hyundai Football Club?
I mentioned this last year to the President and raised it at the AGM and this year with the new sponsor they go and make...
Thank you Rags. It is nice to have someone finally agree with me and well said too. May I quote you in my letter of protest to the club?
I mentioned this to our President last season and at the AGM when the sponsor wasn't as intrusive as it is now and he could see nothing wrong with it.
