    We will always support Essendon but I think we stepped away and lost our love for the club and game. Going to take a lot to get that back.

    Truth. I always believed Hird felt like he had to coach Essendon rather then wanting to. And that he did it for the money. From the start I said to my mates "I have a bad feeling about this". He just never seemed like a coach, ever. Just an ego maniac.
