I thought I heard a snippet on the Channel 9 news update around 8:30 tonight about the MCG showing the game on the big screens? Anyone got a link? Can't see anything on MCG or MCC or AFL site or twitter?
It's one game. If the Euroa club financial position is built on one home game against Rochester, then it's in a lot of trouble.
And again, when Euroa forfeited to Mooroopna in 2015, did you have a cry about Mooroopna's bar takings? Or them missing out on $12 hits? Or the flow on from there...
No doubt about it, Euroa are superior to Rochy this year, with or without injuries.
Doesn't excuse the pile-on about Rochy forfeiting the reserves; plenty of clubs have done (and will continue to do it - including Euroa), but for some reason, Rochy are the bad guys. It's very poor form.
Maybe they can finally watch Euroa win a premiership (since it's been over 30 years and none of them were probably alive when it happened) rather than a meaningless home and away game against a team with 10+ injuries.
And I noticed no-one answered my question from before;
Did you have a cry...
Seymour has double the population of Rochester and is one hour from Melbourne.
Did you have a cry when Benalla's reserves forfeited several matches earlier this year? Or when the Swans did it a few years ago? Or when Euroa's reserves forfeited in 2015?
If you don't have the players, you...
Does it really exist though? There's been 18 grand finals of Victorian clubs versus non-Victorian clubs and the non-Victorian clubs have won 9 of those - 50%.
