    Good point but they need to plan to free up so many spots each year. Some years players will get another chance to fight their way off the chopping block. Some other years good players have to be cut (and sometimes picked up again). If they cut too many this year it may limit their plans for...

    I agree. I prefer Sander's videos to McKercher's. I like to look for "what happened next" and I feel Sanders was just more damaging. McKercher seemed to turn it over more. (acknowledging I have only seen a few games)

    I'm not sure that is true. I thought the CBA was backdated to this year - all players get 10% extra this year. That means the compo trigger should also go up by 10% as it is based on the top 5%.

    The CBA was backdated to this year also so in theory the offer needing to be in the top 5% would be based on the new figures.

    I'm not sure a salary dump would stand up to scrutiny given it has been reported they already have a $2M war chest they need to spend.

    To the compensatation secret herbs and spices? It probably should but who knows... I think for band 1, one of the factors is top 5% in contracts. Since all 2023 salaries are increased by 10% then the compo threshold would also increase by 10%. The other factor is age and BMac is a young...

    I think he is a free agent. Given his age I don't think he will add anything to the BMac compensation assuming he goes too.
