It's almost as if it wasn't a good idea to have someone whose only qualification was being chief brown noser to Sheedy and no experience elsewhere being able to have free reign over that department for 20 odd years.
I just can't see the value there for clubs to invest ~7(?) years of resources for that advantage only for them to potentially lose a player because they couldn't get the points because a club bid pick 1 on them.
The game would probably grow more if they decreased the cost of attending games...
What's the incentive for clubs to invest the sufficient resources into NGAs if the prospects that emerge from it potentially might be taken away from them because they haven't don't have the points? If the AFL is going to disincentivise it, they should just manage the whole system themselves.

The Herald Sun has confirmed Vozzo has made the difficult decision to quit the role to be closer to family in South Australia.
But there is a chance he could remain at Tullamarine in a part-time capacity or consulting role pending further talks with the club in the new year.

Because top players in the league have a a small period of their life to earn incredible money that they likely won't be to earn once their careers are over.
Pretty surprised by the delisting since old Essendon would have held onto him for a few years due to where he was selected. Can't say it was the wrong decision though.
That's not entirely true. He signed the deal with the idea the club would be moving up the ladder and the club realised the list was shit and changed course.
He only wants to go to Hawthorn and that's seemingly the best deal they could muster up given their position. We haven't been able to convince him to stay and I just don't like the idea of the current captain wanting out and then being forced to stay. The vibes aren't just going to be vibing in...
I don't really see an issue with his statement on this since ideally we would aim to climb up the ladder from 15th. We may be rebuilding, as much as the club has danced around using that word, but there has to be some actual improvement.
