Whilst he is having no trouble finding the ball down there, I think he'd be too slow for our transition game and also not quick enough to defend on the rebound for the turnovers that come with our current game. I don't disagree with any of that, just saying that even if McLean is in the team, he'd have to know earlier than Thursday I'd have thought, so he can celebrate his 100th with friends and family throughout the week, and on the night. -

Adam Simpson admitted on radio once that when coaches are asked to give their votes, they'll often treat it as a throw-away thing after the match, as they're not really concentrating on it due to the other stuff they have on their plate post-match. I've found it hard to put much stock in them... -

Interesting scenario this week as Hayden McLean's 100th game is due to land this Friday night. The team won't be finalised until the night before, but I'd imagine McLean would want his friends and family to be able to come up for the game, so I suspect McLean will know if he'll be playing this... -

Which is why we need to give Snell a go sooner rather than later. You can't leave an athletic 194cm defender playing good footy in the reserves forever in the current climate. He'll be snatched up in no time, and Rampe won't be around forever. -
