A sudden trip from Esperance to Melbourne in 36 hours is not easy feat.

This kind of highlights the absurdity of the current situation, in which it's beneficial for a smaller Vic club to take a game to Ballarat, but a third WA team (which could theoretically take a game to the South West) is considered unfeasible.

Vis a vis the Tholstrup announcement, one small thing I like about Goody is that he never makes a debutant the sub (that I can recall). I think he recognises the importance of your first game and not sitting on the pine for 3 and a half quarters.
