It was inevitable the second we signed Hinkley before the finals. Pressure off. Straight sets exit.
Completely unacceptable. If there is any accountability at the club, both the board and Hinkley step down.
Another pathetic finals performance. That second quarter was below amateur standard.
“AFL denies port using future 1st and future 2nd as part of JHF deal.”
Hmm feels like the WWFL drama is turning up the “deal isn’t getting done. There’s no path for port to get JHF” narrative only for it to be already done and announced at the last minute. What a predictable roller coaster.
I really don’t understand some of these trade evaluations. IF (and it’s a very big if) we manage to get pick 2 from WCE, that would be a straight swap for JHF in my opinion. Anything extra would be overs quite frankly. He was valued at pick 1, he’s now valued at pick 2 as he’s publicly unhappy...
This x1000
The same people who ignore this critical fact also think North can drive a bidding war for JHF with the crows. He isn’t going to the Crows either given their pre-season camp from hell rules them out too!
The things that baffles me is that North had the offer of three first round draft picks last year, but decided to gamble on their culture winning over a young kid who was labelled a clear flight risk from the very beginning. They then lost that gamble and are now expecting to come out of this...
A close win. Finally. I’d rather it be a top 8 team, but ah well. Brisbane are much stronger than everyone is giving them credit for. They aren’t a bottom 4 team.
At the end of the day, I’d rather win ugly than lose ugly.
We can only play who’s in front of us. We beat Fremantle at home and Sydney away. Both by similar margins to what we experienced last year. So it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that no one has jumped on us yet.
Even though Fremantle bear Essendon last weekend (although from memory I believe...
<Insert schaudenfraude here>
I must admit, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the camera panning to Tex's very worried face when Essendon were coming at the Crows in the final quarter last night. You could tell he knew the loss was coming.
