clubs still have flexibility on rookie / primary lists I believe but if they get all targets it would look something like this:
6 spots currently:
Pick 7
Bowes
Henry
Bruhn
Atkins
Close
3 rookie picks (or could take extra senior picks)
Everything else resigned.
Pick 18 seems more than fair. Although he’s shown potential, ultimately Collingwood dictated their own valuation of him with a lowball contract offer, then chose to keep him out of the side when it wasn’t signed. Think this is done easily providing the cats make that offer, issue would come from...
Bowes and 7 for a future second, simple. Comes down to his club of choice, Geelong clear front runners but smoothing out contract, Essendon can cop the lot.
Depends if he wants security of 4 years off the bat or potential for more earnings. The family club a non factor in these discussions -...
I don’t see how Henry is worth more than a second, he was pick 17, hasn’t established himself in 2 years in a no name pies forward line and was offered a modest contract. How has his value increased? First for bruhn seems fine.
Conway not too dissimilar to Sean Darcy. Don’t know why people so off him. My preference is mids, will be horiffic in a few years… starting 2023 midfield could be Parfitt, Narkle, Stephens currently……
My thoughts, generational talent on the table, do the deal. Anyone with any brain knows 13 and 15 was absolutely fair value, people complained when 20 got added, but I actually think this was our request. Read below and couple it with the fact a whole bunch of vic kids coming back top age makes...
I’d pay two firsts and Esava if need be. Not every day you get a chance to bring a player of this quality in. Deal gets done in the next couple of days.
Haven’t GWS officially matched? If we trade the two late firsts (might both end up being picks in the 20s once academy bidding is done) and an Esava/Narkle/Constable/Fogarty I think it’s more than fair.
