That is a good summation, i thought the pies were trying a type of zone defence last year which broke down badly early in the year, they then went to a more man on man contested style which improved them a bit.

No doubt there were big changes made with the turn over of coaches and Dimma taking a more relaxed approach. The game style did evolve which I guess is why the real improvement was evident by end of season and not obvious early
