Having breaks occasionally is good for your overall mental and physical health. They would have take-home fitness and skills programs anyway.

    Bigman’s Training Reports

Thanks for getting us through the worst period of the year for footy fans, bigman! Looking forward to the reports resuming in the new year :)

News Matthew Clarke to step down after 2025

She sounds a tiny bit bitter

    Opinion Matthew Nicks: Adelaide's Coach (Part 3) - Re-Signed to 2027...

My guess is they didn't want questions about his contract interrupting this year's finals thrust. It sure would be nice to see a single finals win before extending him though.

Last pick in the draft is probably going to be a reach in any event. Now, to wait another 8+ months to see if any of them are any good :(

At least we have obvious options for a player swap in the future if needed...

So that's two mids, one mid/fwd, and one fwd so far, right?

I've been busy getting the girls into bed so only just catching up now. Gorman joins the pantheon of inside extractor specialists to join the Crows with a first-round pick. Will we actually play this one in the engine room, this time?

Weston-Turner gets through to North with pick 37. Bit of a joke really, but hey, I guess we can't complain after getting Ah Chee in the PSD a month ago.

Six first-round picks plus Anne Hatchard, not a bad haul.

Lots of players being drafted away from their home states... that hopefully bodes well for us. If it becomes the norm, then players will be less likely to be upset when we do it, and let's face it, we'll need to do it if we want to get back on top again.

Ball magnet, big tackle numbers, leadership potential, "interesting" left-foot kick... sounds like another Marinoff! In any event, plenty of 50m on-target kicks in those highlights packages.

There goes Trengove, hopefully we can lure her back at some stage! Can be tough to get players out of Collingwood, though.

Between taking Port superfan Rasheed who was considered much better than our pick last year, and now the most talented Victorian in the draft, we're taking some risks to find serious talent. Good! It's not like the conservative approach was helping us to retain our first-round selections anyway...
