Hard to play both Fort and ZZ for team balance. It’s one or the other, surely?
Yes, fabulous game from Torrent… also 8 marks and 8 tackles and we need more tackling pressure. Would be good to see him get a chance.
I wonder if the biggest issue is the 5 day break. Did we win any games off a 5 day break last year? Have any AFL teams won after a 5 day break? How many? Don’t have time to research it, but I’d love to know the answers to those questions.
Just did a quick search and going off last year a number...
Ruck position is changing this year with the change to the centre bounce, the 5 man bench and the quick ball up. Interesting we only have 3, but we have Zane and now Curtain who could play in the ruck if needed and tall forwards like Allen and Gallop who could have a run in the ruck. I think...
I think you were using the 2024 points values, it’s changed this year. Pick 28 is worth 505 pts. 42 + 43 = 386. Next years 3rd might be worth 14 points. So they lose over 100 pts in the deal. I can’t see that Carlton have anything to gain, unless there’s a future 2nd on offer as well.
Also need part of pick 44 to match it at 6, which will slide back to around 49… then slide forward to somewhere between 41 and 44 when all the picks in the 2nd round are wiped out matching other bids. Also pick 17 more likely to be pick 19 and pick 23 probably 24. Kinda hard to do the maths...
I think you are right about North and the Suns being more attractive to both teams. Sydney’s 31 and 32 for our 23 would give us a points upgrade, but the Swans would need to really want a player available at 23 who trumps the two players they could get 8 spots later. Looks like 17 and 23 could...
Nah, his sister is the best rebounder in the WNBL. If he can harness half of her aggression and leap, he’ll be a player worth watching.
This is very slow… I’m going for a beer very soon…
