You don't need to play SANFL if you are a shape keeper. They are too important that we have to bring them straight back in. Soligo is not as important to our team so we eased him back in.
Mchenry still isn't ready and he has played 65 games now. Why are we suddenly so careful now with Curtin when we have clearly brought players in previously who weren't up to it.
Going to be a tough decision for Nicks if Murphy is available, he may have to drop his star shape keeper in Mchenry.
Can just imagine Nicks in the selection meeting now
Would have been a perfect week to give him a debut this week to replace Smith. He should have been playing further up the ground in the SANFL and not as a full back. Such a waste of his talents. If he had been playing off the half back we would have seen much more of his attacking run which...
Dropping him for a couple of mistakes would be a terrible move, let him show he has learnt from this and give him a chance to respond. If it starts to happen more often and he doesn't learn from his mistakes then it would be a different discussion.
Probably more chance of that happening if Thilthorpe wasn't injured. They could have played Strachan as the lead ruck with Thilthorpe in there for big chunks. I am not sure if we would go Strachan as our main ruck without a good backup option, not totally out of the question but I think...
If only we had a ruckman who could take a mark. We continually kick long to ROB at the kick outs and he can't mark the ball. And we never have anyone front and centre to crumb off him, it is clear he is going to drop it at least get our runners in front of him to force a contest.
We are really...
Pretty flat after that result. Essendon should have won by plenty tbh. They were first to the ball all night. We had no intensity and were so fumbly.
Dawson and Soligo were good.
We missed Crouch in the middle, Laird is now useless and totally ineffective.
