    That was only an option if the bid came in around 7 or 8. As soon as the eagles planned to bid at 3, we would have only got back a pick in the late 20s. This way we got Dean, 2nds and 3rd.

    The only real solution I can see if to get rid of the discounts for academies and father sons. Having access to the player is reward enough - shouldn’t need a discount on the market rate. I’d imagine thats what the AFL is driving towards - cut it to 10% this year and abolish it in a few years...

    What miscalculation? Can’t control the eagles choosing to bid at 3. When we learned that it was going to happen, we came up with a plan so we didn’t miss out on him. Literally can’t understand why people want to blame our recruiting team. They got our man, despite a bid at 3. Get behind them.
