Not all note holders who purchased notes at the time (1986) bought membership to the Eagles. The notes were touted as being a good investment.

I was sent the prospectus for the Indian Pacific Notes which they were selling to raise money towards the $4mil entry fee that the Eagles had to pay. in the end, 7000 were sold. I bought three as that was all I could afford at that time - from memory they were $500 each.

There are 7000 note holders (not all would be going though) but don't know about Victorian platinum
