Not entirely correct I believe. Eagles members not planning on going can return their seats for resale.. That’s my understanding. Marvel clubs are this year trialling it for first time. It will take time for behaviours to become habit and more members return their seats for sale to public.
Haven’t we explained with this numerous times? Essendon have ~18,000 member reserved seat holders. At any home game, only about 50% of these members seats are used. The holders might be unwell, interstate, at a wedding, playing community sport or just can’t be bothered going. Therefore, at an...
BZT was the worst defender because he was playing out of position for him. He was playing as the big bodied full back when this isn’t playing a role to his strengths. Apart from 2-3 games where he was outplayed by the monster full forward, BZT was rarely beaten all year. He’s a really decent...
They can’t get 50,000 today. They have too many seat holders. Also, unlike Friday night it won’t have filled all the hospitality suites which always sell better for Friday night games as opposed to afternoon games. I think if it draws 45-46,000 that’s as good as we can expect.
Hope you don’t mind the intrusion. Well said. Win win. BZT will be terrific if he’s the number 2/3 defender. He will slot in very nicely. Duursma giving us two way hard running and defensive standards so exactly what we needed. Trade period working for both clubs 👍
Yep! I get it. It’s been 20 years! Mind you, you get it too in years prior to 2021.
I thought it was a terrific crowd, though it was probably what last years crowd should’ve been. I think two top 4 teams, Dee’s trending should be 40K+. And it was. So, the world was righted last night.
Really?! I reckon 25% of the Bomber throng became disengaged after last weeks performance. Not just the loss, the way they lost and subsequent injuries. Yes it’s round 4 but it’s the ‘Same Old’ Essendon.
I like your enthusiasm but it feels like the season for Bomber fans lost its air last...
I just think Gather round is a great concept and I take a higher moral (!!) position on this and think it’s not so much about getting fixturing optimised with right club, right venue as such.. It’s more about clubs playing their part for the game and the concept and putting club needs and...
S..t happens. Essendon, and Carlton in previous seasons been carrying the can of the big clubs in crap slots in smaller venues. The Tigers had a charmed run with the fixture on the back of a fabulous era on field. The era is over, everything balances again somewhat over time.
